Francis Lake Retreat is a 2-bedroom, 1 bath cottage nestled on a beautiful private lot on Francis Lake, located in the Georgian Bluffs. Francis Lake is known for great swimming, boating, fishing and captivating sunsets. Whether you are looking for a get away with the kids or a romantic escape with a loved one, the modern all-season Francis Retreat has a little something for everyone.

Thanksgiving weekend

Overall a good stay, a nicely converted shop/garage to living space. Open concept but cozy at the same time. Good communication from the owner at checkin. Some suggestions: I would recommend a step be installed in front of the raised bathroom entrance to make it easier for seniors to access. And maybe some partitions to cover the furnace and tanks just for esthetics. Would book again with the step installed. Thanks!!

Great to be back!

We enjoy sitting peacefully by the lake and nearby Owen Sound. The hosts are always gracious and ready to answer any questions. The place was very clean, the bed comfortable, and the television amazing. We have accessibility issues and were able to get around just fine. Highly recommended!

Beautiful fall getaway

Fantastic experience from start to finish. Brian snd Stacey were amazing to deal with. They responded to our questions very quickly and the cottage was exactly as shown on the website. The lake, sunsets, fire pit and Peaceful surroundings were everything we were hoping for. The location is excellent for hiking and biking with lions head, the grotto, Owen sound and Meaford all near by. If you’re interested in trying something new I would recommend Teds Range Road Diner in Meaford! Excellent food and great staff! We had been wanting to visit a cottage in the fall for quite some time and this one had everything we were looking for. Would highly recommend!
