The hillside hamlet of Noizeret has 12 houses - half are occupied by locals who are traditional mixed farmers, the others are holiday homes - Swiss, French, Parisians, English - reflecting the picturesque location. The pace of life is dictated by the speed of a tractor. Our property is at the end of a rural cul-de-sac - there is no through traffic. Tranquility is the keyword & the immediate area is particularly panoramic. Furnished to the standards of a second home, particular attention has been given to the self-catering arrangements. Outside, the property offers the opportunity for private relaxation in a beautiful setting.
Burgundy wine has been made at Noizeret since at least the 1400's and our cottage called The Winery contains much of the equipment for winemaking - a giant wine press and fermentation tanks. Alas, the property's grapes are long gone - the last commercial wine was made in the mid 1950's of which a solitary bottle remains! - but a single giant Chasselas vine producing eating grapes gives a reminder of bygone days.
The very comfortable living dining room features free WIFI; an extensive CD & DVD collection; French TV, a good library and a free landline telephone. A YOTUL wood-burning fire take the chill off Spring & Autumn evenings.
The kitchen is extensively equipped with a gas hob; electric oven; microwave oven; and a full range of standard kitchen appliances.
Both double bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and electric convector radiators. There is a separate laundry with both a washing machine and tumble dryer.
Outside, the private and exclusive terraces featuring lovely hillside views offering a choice of sunshine, or dabbled shade from a giant walnut tree. There is usually an abundance of traditional flower plants on display while the range of lavender and herb plants(chives, tarrragon, rosemary, sage, thyme, mint etc) will enhance any terrace meal.
There is a gas BBQ
