This delightful, cosy, semi-detached cottage is set in the heart of the popular village of Gilwern and can sleep two people in one bedroom.

The Old Stable is a delightful, cosy, semi-detached cottage set in the heart of the popular village of Gilwern, situated amidst the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons) and can sleep two people. There is one double bedroom, a shower room and an open plan living area with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Outside there is roadside parking opposite the cottage on a first come, first served basis. Ideally placed to explore the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons) with its abundance of walking, cycling and pony trekking, The Old Stable is a lovely holiday base.

Amenities: Electric central heating. Electric oven and hob, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, fridge, washing machine, TV with Freeview and NOW TV (inc. Sky Movies and entertainment channels), DVD, CD, Bluetooth speaker, WiFi. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Roadside parking opposite property on first come, first served basis. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 2 mins walk.

Town: The picturesque village of Gilwern, situated amidst the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons), offers visitors many amenities including traditional pubs, shops and a great fish and chip shop. Covering approximately 520 square miles, the National Park surrounds the village providing excellent walking, cycling and bird watching as well as great salmon and trout fishing on the river Usk. Abergavenny, the aptly named ‘Gateway to Wales’ is nestled in the nearby hills and has something for everyone. With its many indoor and outdoor markets, magnificent castle and museums this medieval market town is sure to delight any visitor. Offering fantastic walks for all abilities as well as its own vineyard, the nearby mountain of Sugarloaf is well worth visiting. No matter what time of year, this wonderful little village has something in the area to suit all tastes and budgets.
