Wilderness Club at Big Cedar offers the ultimate family-friendly retreat leaving the impression of rustic elegance and ideal extended family vacations! There, you can enjoy the unique charms of the resort's wilderness lodge architecture and its beautiful natural scenery.

Approximately 450 square feet, this spaciously warm and homey state of the art studio features 1 King Bed and 1 Sofa bed in the living area including a kitchenette, bathroom and laundry is in the common area. Maximum of 4 occupants.

A $100 Pre-Authorization from any major credit card upon checking in is required. Cash is not accepted. After purchase you will receive an email confirmation showing your name on the reservation as the guest checking in within 14 days of check in date. Please bring a valid form of Picture ID. However, if you would like to change the name of the person checking in after you have provided this information, there will be a $99.00 name change fee. Any damages will be charge upon check-out.

Resort check- in time is 4 p.m. and check-out time is 10 a.m. The nearest airport to Wilderness Club at Big Cedar is Branson Airport (BKG) which is 9 miles by car respectively.

Studio at big cedar

No washer and dryer on” B” side. Stovetop didn’t work but they fixed it immediately. Had to wait 2 hours after we checked in for our room to be available and cleaned. Other than that- kids loved pickle ball, night dance party and s’mores. Beautiful waterfalls everywhere. Place was nice and clean

Great Place Weird Check In

Staying at the Wilderness Lodge is great! You are on site at Big Cedar Lodge. Just like the photos. Nice to have kitchenette. Only weird thing is apparently you aren’t supposed to rent these out, so you have to say you are friends with someone you don’t know. The Wilderness Lodge check process was weird because the girl checking me in was like we know (name) he comes all the time. I didn’t have anything to say back. Our room wasn’t ready by 4 which made things tricky. Would not book again due to weird check in. We were worried they wouldn’t let us stay.

Strange rental process

So let me just start by saying I have never rented a VRBO property and have communication quite like this… I received multiple text around 1:30 AM or weeks prior to my check in about confirming the ID of the person checking in for this reservation. I finally called a number and felt I was asked strange question about my stay and the people who would be staying here with me. It made me feel uncomfortable then on arrival day in the wee hours of the morning I got an email and text telling me to use a particular person‘s name that was an owner of one of the units, otherwise, my reservation would not be honored if I told them I rented through a different website. The whole process was bizarre. I completed one transaction on VRBO to rent one room for four nights. When we checked in at the wilderness club, they only had me for two nights, then they found a second reservation for an additional two nights. Fortunately, they were able to link the reservations and told us we could stay in the same room for the four nights Two days into our stay we were locked out of our room, had to go to the front desk and work all this out again reminding them that we were there for four nights before they could let us back into our room where all of our belongings were located as for the room itself it was very old, dirty, and needed updating Our building was also under construction with workers throughout the building each day we were there the Night Shift walkways they were using did not seem entirely safe as well. We love the big Cedar Lodge and property, but not sure we would stay at the wilderness club again.
