About this property

Mountain Laurel is located on the lower level of the Lodge at Westglow across from the entrance to Westglow Resort & Spa

Completely renovated in 2015, Mountain Laurel consists of a living room with a gas log fireplace, sleeper sofa, and large windows framing a secluded forest view with the outline of Grandfather Mountain in the distance. Adjacent to the living room is a bedroom with a queen bed, small refrigerator, and coffee machine. The bathroom contains a walk-in shower and vanity with granite countertop. Outside you'll find a private patio and wood deck perfect for enjoying the afternoon sunset.

Mountain Laurel is subject to a minimum two-night stay from June 1 through October 31.

Solo weekend getaway

all was fine until I showed up to find a dead mouse under the coffee table, trash near the fridge wasn't emptied, and looked to have about 3 cups of coffee grounds around it in the nook. I would have given 1 star if not for the Spa and the ONE person who answers the phone there for any request, etc. Also, the handyman that took care of the mouse was nice. Myra at the spa was AMAZING. I didn't notice until after the initial issues were addressed, but I also found mouse droppings on the bedding, pillows, and other areas in the unit. That pushed it over the limit. Needs to be checked PRIOR to check in regardless of how long it's been unoccupied.

Good Location

Overall, the property was in a great location with easy access to both Blowing Rock and boone. I still gave the property a 5, however, the exterior patio was a bit disappointing as it was not very clean and cushions on chairs very old and worn. So I did not really get to enjoy the patio! Otherwise, its was as advertised.

Laurel suite Westglow Resort

We had an awesome stay at the Laurel Suite and the Westglow Resprt. We also enjoyed the Spa doing a couples massage and enjoyed the facilities. Would highly recommend! About a 5-8 minute drive to downtown Blowing Rock.

Peaceful forest escape and spa day

Lovely stay with gorgeous forest views. Comfortable and peaceful, nice bed and slept really well. Upstairs neighbors were respectful and quiet, we wouldn’t even know they were there if we hadn’t seen other cars and heard them walking a little bit. Best part was staying so close to the spa and having access all day, also easy to get to downtown. Steven was really responsive, great at communicating updates, and had provided helpful directions. Thanks for having us!
