Had a lovely stay, however, I think I've left my perfume at the property, Juicy Couture, if you find it would really love it back.
A real gem
A real treat to stay in such a historic cottage and so comfortable. Very relaxing to have so much space, plenty of heating, comfortable bed and lots of stylish touches. Can’t fault Colenso Cottage.
Spacious, clean, comfortable, and a privilege.
It was an amazing privilege to stay at a cottage that revealed to us so much history of William Colenso and his involvement and contribution to colonization. The location suited us perfectly with an easy downhill walk to the CBD and Restaurants. It is a steep walk back which we loved but would not recommended for the faint hearted. The cottage is modern inside and has everything required for a self contained stay. We will be back. Charlie and Dianna.
Comfort and a connection with history
Generous and cosy spaces provide a very comfortable stay. Wonderfully adapted to current needs, the link with the past is beautifully explained on the walls.
Fine glimpses of the views from the hill and (with a little effort) a short walk from all the city sights.
Absolutely loved it. Beautifully restored historic cottage.
Very comfortable and roomy with everything you could want. A real joy to stay at Colenso Cottage.
Hill top heritage hideaway
Thank you Katie for providing such comfortable and thoughtful accommodation. I loved Colenso Cottage. I work in the heritage and museum industry and it was a treat to find out about the buildings history and the owners contribution to European settlement through the provision of your display boards. Yes, I even read the conservation report that was tucked in the bookshelf. Comfortable and cosy, yet spacious and well provisioned. I'd recommend in a heartbeat.
