Bach or holiday home, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bathrooms, (Sleeps 6)
We are second generation farmers on this property and started renting out our Shearers Quarters after a major birthday party we had. I had painted the cottage so that we could have guests come to stay in it for that weekend and the comments were so good and encouraging that I decided to start letting it for holiday guests. That was over 10 years' ago! My husband, Chris and I live on the farm and we have 3 children - two boys in Christchurch and our daughter in London. We love meeting our guests and have made many friends from the people who have come to stay.

What a gorgeous wee spot - so beautiful, and such a quaint, comfy wee cottage
Really enjoyed being in the countryside. Nice and private dining on the deck overlooking dam and farmland. We enjoyed exploring the beautiful East Coast beaches.
Laid Back of the grid lifestyle
Our family loved our stay on the farm lots of lambs all around us. Waking up with the sun on deck , hot coffee , and great books to read. Special place. Thanks for having us
Neat little cottage
We loved staying here, peaceful, relaxing, beautiful place and lovely hosts
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback Anne!
We really enjoyed our time in this beautiful cottage nestled in rolling hills.
With genuine old New Zealand character, the Shearer's Quarters is comfortable, affordable and off the beaten track. We spent the first few days of our honeymoon here and appreciated the quiet, idyllic scenery and birdlife. It's also fairly handy to the beach but we couldn't maximise its potential due to a bout of rain. But we happily waited out the storm in the company of a bottle of bubbly --courtesy of our friendly, considerate hosts!
