Clean and tidy modern holiday house with stunning views down Queen Charlotte Sound. Native bush reserve surrounds our house, so you wake to the sound of birds. Watch out for the cheeky weka. It is a short walk to the water and jetty. Boat launching is available at Tirimoana off a concrete ramp. We are handy to Queen Charlotte Walkway for walking and mountain biking. Kayak hire and tours nearby. Longer boat trips available from Picton and Havelock (the famous mail run to small isolated bays) Wading in the water or going handline fishing off the Tirimoana jetty are popular for young ones. A fantastic bonus is the glow worms dell at the back of our house. Creep along after dark and you might be lucky to see the tiny glowing lights.
There is easy sealed road access to the front steps of the house. Views out each window are native bush or the sea. You can see right down the Queen Charlotte with sightings of the Picton ferry , cruise ships, yachts and small craft. Magic for relaxation.
The house is fully equipped with good furniture and very comfortable near new beds. There are 2 queen beds and a single. For your comfort and ease on holiday there is a heat pump, dishwasher, washing machine and drier. There is a TV, a DVD player and board games for rainy weather. Sorry no wifi available in the house, we want you to spend time in nature
Special conditions:
We supply clean bed linen, as our location in the Sounds does not have access to a linen hire or laundry service. We ask guests to tell us what time they expect to leave, so that the caretaker can go early to wash the linen if necessary.
Our house is currently on the market for sale. There are no open homes planned but we would require access for a viewing if the agent wants. So far the housing market there has been very quiet with only one viewing in the last month .
Extras: Bed Linen (included); NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Clean the house and do the dishes before you leave;
