This iconic old-style Kiwi bach is in a lovely location and could be fantastic but...
The strong musty smell throughout, coming from the bathroom, was very unpleasant. Caused I think by the amount of unpainted wood in and around the shower being constantly damp, and with no bathroom fan or heater. The large floor rug in the living area was very grubby. Kitchenette extractor fan needed a clean. Otherwise clean. "Owner living next door" - lives in the same building in the adjoining apartment. "Kitchenette" is a makeshift kitchen in the laundry. "Induction hob" is one element. No smoke alarm. Overall a bit shabby. It would be well worth sprucing up this place - it has great potential.
Great little get-away.
Excellent place to stay for a couple of days.
Lovely views , close to everything
We wanted peace and tranquility and we got it. This little cottage is cozy and warm and had everything we needed for a holiday break away. Rick was very obliging and happy to answer any questions we had about the Raglan area. We were able to take our lovely old Lab/Shepherd dog with us too which was a real bonus. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would be happy to re-visit. The cottage is very quiet and has a lovely outlook and it was great to have a decent sized fridge-freezer for our 9 day stay.
Cute rustic charm
Tidy little flat, well equipped, cosy and lovely views.
Really loved our stay, very cosey homely batch!
We loved our stay! Rick was so accommodating for our dog we brought with us. The batch is so sunny and homely with beautiful views of the water. So close to cafes too. We will definitely stay again!
Very pleasant homestay with a great view.
We enjoyed our time staying at the Kent Homestay. Thanks.
