About Rae and Mark
Rae and Mark and their four children have enjoyed their holiday home since their children were babies. They stay several times a year and rent it out so other groups/family can enjoy it too.
Why Rae and Mark chose Frankton
They fell in love with this property immediately and love the feel of the wooden walls and the cosy atmosphere. The views are stunning, ever changing and even better sitting in the outside bath.

Can't wait to come back!
A tricky drive way, but otherwise a roomy, comfy and homely stay. Lots of room for us to have space from each other.
A nice house in the middle of paradise, for a large crowd of visitors!
That was a sunny day when we drove all the way down from Christchurch to Frankton / Queenstown. Having been through a long riding after stopping over here and there, lakes and hot spas, we arrived here a bit tired. Yet at the opening of the patio doors, the snowy mountains backed blue lake in the golden sunset took our breathes away. It was stunningly beautiful beyond description! We spent long long speechless time on the balcony, just soaking the freshness and gaping at the charming scene.
The house itself is quite ordinary looking from outside, but was well renovated inside, with the whole interior wood paneled, and considerately decorated. Three spacious bedrooms hosted quite easily the eight of us, with still plenty of rooms around for leisure sitting and kids running. There are doors leading to the exterior areas on both sides, and front and rear decks, for all sorts of activities, including laundry hanging (though we used exclusively the drier for our washing.) The kitchen is large with all sorts of utensils, including a professional coffee machine.
The doors and windows have good insulation and sound proofing, so that we were not at all disturbed by the noises of the air and road traffics, in spite of the fact that we were not far away from the airport, and directly above the busy SH6A, at the gateway to Queenstown.
It is such a property that is immediately getting people to like it, as soon as one enters the door. At the end of our three short nights, we felt regret to have to leave, as lots plans were unable to be executed due to the time constraints. Our trip was in October, and it was not that cold for raising the Kent fire, though the hosts had provided their guests with huge piles of firewood. We could only imagine that there must be a very cozy feeling when the large iron stove is lit.
We enjoyed every minute of our staying there, and would highly recommend it. To the hosts, Rae and Mark, we would say a big Thank You! for allowing us using your neat property in this trip, provided us with quick response and guidance to our inquiries. We are definitely coming back again in the near future. A+A+A+A+A+!!!!!
So nice and pleasant accomodation
We enjoy it and satisfy
Perfect for families
The home was bigger than the pictures portrayed, but still warm and cozy. It's perfect for more than one family as the loft space has its own small kitchen and bathroom with a shower.
The home smells nice. I'm always worried when booking about the homes having a funny smell, but this one has no awkward smells.
We had a really fun time playing spotlight tag with our kids The home is so big and it has some fun hiding spaces.
Not mentioned in the ad was a bonus playroom stocked with toys.
It was so nice to cook because kitchen is well stocked with cooking supplies. There was a hand mixer and good pot and pan options. There is an honesty cupboard stocked with lots of spices. We both used and added to the collection. It was so handy to have access to.
My kids had an awesome time in the outdoor bathtub and the view was incredible from the tub. The neighbours can see you so not great for adult use, unless you're wearing togs. A higher fence, trelise, or a well placed bush would make it perfect.
We used the outside grill. It cooked the food, but does need a little love as the flame only works on part of it.
My whole family loved this house and none of us wanted to leave.
So happy you enjoyed your stay. 😀
Great location and easily accessible from airport, Queenstown Centre and Codrona. However cleanliness of this property was left a lot to be desired.
Oh I am so sorry you should have let us know and we would have sent back the cleaning company. I will forward your review on to them. Rae
Great location and an awesome space.
Really enjoyed this house. Was a very decent price and we really enjoyed the cabin style decor. Accommodated a large group with plenty of room. Highly recommend.
