Lovely cabin in the native bush
We had a great time at Margareth's property. The place is perfect if you want to escape town for a couple of days. Charming surroundings and beautiful walks. Margareth was very welcoming. We'll come back for sure!
loved the peace tranquility and uniqueness of the cottage Margaret was helpful and supplied an extra mattress for us The kitchen had everything right down to coffee beans and grinder 😀😀
Serenity in a magnificent setting
If you want to just get off the grid for awhile. If you want peace and quiet. If you want to get back to the basics. If you know you need a break from this busy demanding world ...only for a few nights this is your paradise as it was ours. The outdoor shower is so very liberating its private enough to be comfortable. The composting drop toilet ...they have always freaked me out but this is positioned in a very cute old telephone booth with all the comfort and ease to do your business in peace.
Waking up to absolutely peace and quiet amongst the native Bush is so relaxing and just what a busy sole needs. Margaret is the most beautiful lady she is so accommodating and kind she is the icing on the cake ...just perfect. We will definitely be back but instead of 3 days itll be a week. The bethels beach walks and the waitatere ranges have to much to offer its draws you back.
Thank you once again Margaret

Rustic Kiwi Paradise set in Native Bush
A beautiful warm relaxing space, surrounded by native bush, birds and scenery. This wee bach is packed with a great range of historical and interesting books detailing the nature you can find in the area. Have a read then go for one of the many walks which are in the vicinity. Explore the lake, the beach and find the caves! The outdoor shower is fantastic, the kitchen is fully stocked and the door between the kitchen and lounge is incredibly well hinged! This place is fantastic if you want to step outside of time and just relax.
Great spot to enjoy nature
Great little getaway in the bush stargazing and listening to nature
Lovely little cottage close to Auckland but far away from WiFi or cell phone coverage. We had a nice quiet time. Margaret presents the place well. It is great for a short stay and I would recommend it. But I also acknowledge that after 3 nights I tired of the steps to the long drop outdoor toilet in the middle of the night. Call me a softie but I was ready to get back to modern amenities. On the other hand I will acknowledge great pressure from outdoor shower.
