A great place to rest and relax along the southern scenic route. We enjoyed the open fire and all the art. Aunt Tui’s was just something a bit different and special. Thank you for sharing.
A walk down memorie lane
Staying at Aunt Tuis was like taking a tour through the last 100 years of NZ history and how people used to live.
Lots of nik naks to check out and the bath tub was a favourite. long and deep to relax fully into.
if you like fishing bring your rods and head down to the river where you can fish for some trout.
Thank you for having us.

Very unique house.
The house was very clean everything you need & more. Just the shower was really back no pressure at all just trickling. That was the only fault with the house. I would stay there again if knew the shower had been fixed. Thanks Mary really enjoyed staying in your house. I’ll be back😊
We are very sorry about this with the shower. The plumber said he would be in while you were there but got caught up in other work. He is going to fix it asap! Glad you enjoyed your stay and you welcome back anytime!
Eclectic and Whimsical Home Stay
We enjoyed our stay here... it was as advertised... charming and quirky... everything plus what we needed to cook and given how many Knick knacks are around it was amazingly dust free. This being said we would not want to stay for longer than 2 days... shower was barely usable unless you wanted a cold shower... as you turn it to warm or hot is became a drip. I have a problem with perfume smells and it took a while for me to find the incense sticks to put outdoors while I stayed... there was not 1 trash can inside so we needed to improvise and use a bowl to collect our trash.
It would have been helpful to know that we needed to turn the power on before we got there.
But once again we are on an adventure and enjoyed our stay... didn’t mind the slight inconveniences. If we could give 1/2 ratings we would have done a 3.5
Sorry about the shower. We thought it was fixed. A new hot water cylinder was put in a few weeks ago and we have had a few problems with air locks since. We can have a trash can inside...thanks for suggestion. I thought I had about power being turned off on homeaway information page but will check that I have. All the best for your adventures!
Cute old property with everything we required for a comfortable stay over the weekend.
