Apartment, 4 Bedrooms, 3 Bathrooms, (Sleeps 10)
My grandfather, from Invercargill, purchased the land, and built the original holiday house on this site in the mid 1930's. It remained in the family until 2004 when the top half of the house was moved to Cromwell, a nearby town, where it is still in family ownership. The current block of apartments was built at that time and the family retained ownership of this one. It is still used mainly as a family holiday place, with the original owner's great, great grandchildren now enjoying holidays here. I too, grew up in Invercargill but now live in Christchurch, having lived overseas for a couple of periods. Wherever we have moved, Queenstown has always been the constant. My sister is still in Invercargill and we each have a child living in Queenstown. These two will be your contacts, during your stay.

Perfect apartment for a group with incredible views
Arriving at this property at the start of our stay definitely exceeded our expectations. The location above the heart of Queenstown meant the views were spectacular, sitting on the deck with a morning coffee looking out over the town and lake to the snow capped mountains was a perfect way to start the day.
The property was super clean on our arrival, and had all the amenities needed for our 8 night stay. In fact we could more than happily have stayed the whole winter.
The setup with 2 masters upstairs (both with excellent beds, bedding and both with an ensuite, plus the awesome deck off the main master bedroom overlooking the lake), the middle level with kitchen, lounge, office (which we had set up as a bedroom) toilet/laundry and internal access garage plus another huge deck, and then the large basement room with ensuite suited our group of 10 perfectly. We enjoyed the ability for the younger generation to be able to play their tv and music downstairs while us adults could chill on the middle level.
We have travelled as a large group a lot, and this property was definitely a standout. We all loved the place, it was warm and cozy, yet large and expansive, and close to town, with superb views.
We highly recommend this property to anyone heading to Queenstown, its a luxurious large apartment in a prime location.
Thanks heaps for having us
Great house with amazing views.
Heaps of room for families. Close to town but a steep walk uphill to get home! Owners were great and gave us lots of information. Only thing missing was a drying room for ski gear and a hot tub on the balcony! Highly recommend.
We enjoy having family groups and as this is also our family holiday home we did decide not to have a hot tub because of the risk for young children.
Although there are ski racks in the garage there isn't room for a drying room as such.
Unfortunately the steep climb home is a fact of life for most in central Queenstown. We cheat these days and take a taxi! Not too expensive for the short distance.
This place is tops!
A superb view and as close to town as you could get with a view like this. Ideal for any family groups with the large downstairs space for the children. All the facilities you should need such as BBQ and kitchen gear, with lovely indoor outdoor flow for the fine days we had. There are also puzzles and jigsaws for any bad weather and a great TV and WIFI system. Good communication and we felt well looked after. We had a wonderful stay!
Fantastic accommodation. Made my holiday in Queenstown very special. Excellent view. Clean and modern. Spacious and user friendly appliances. Highly recommended.

Easy access to town & all the activity's - only hardship was the hump up the hill to get back home - but this was easily remedied by Mr Taxi !!($10) and you cant have an incredible veiw like that without gaining height !! There are too many possibilities to list. I suggest you choose your own particular interests and go on-line to find the ones you would enjoy most. Most things are available here, in season, from wine-tasting, bungee jumping and sky-diving with everything in between.
