Bach or holiday home, 5 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, (Sleeps 10)
About Naomi Wheeler
I'm living and working in Auckland with my husband, Stuart and have also been running Artbreak Waihi with my business partner at our bach for the past three years. Stuart and I designed the bach together and our family have enjoyed holidays and frequent weekends there also. I come from the country (originally inland Hawkes Bay and then Ngongotaha) and my family live around these parts also so its a great base to get together.
Naomi Wheeler purchased this Guest House in 2010
Why Naomi Wheeler chose Waihi Beach
Both Stuart and I fell in love with the property because of the mature trees (Pohutakawas and Pines) and its proximity to the beach and village. For our budget it ticked all the boxes and the perfect place to build our modern easy-care bach.
What makes this Guest House unique
Built Xmas 2010 our bach is contemporary, fresh and well appointed. New outdoor shower is a hit!

Wonderful Short Break in Retro Bach at Waihi
Thank you Naomi,
We had a wonderful catch up with friends over the long weekend, weather was cold but mostly fine with the fire warming up the house and giving a lovely ambience.
With the Flat White walking distance, we did indulge but also cooked up a fabulous meal at home for one night in - kitchen well stocked.
Talking with other friends will have no hesitation to make another booking for a larger group
Thanks again for sharing your bach with us

Cosy & Comfortable
Lovely bach, very comfortable and cosy. Quirky decor that really works well. Beautfully presented, very modern and well thought out. The owner was absolutely fantastic with great communication to ensure our stay was successful. The owners have thought of everything here, right down to chargers for your devices. Would definitely stay here again, Thanks Naomi 😀
Welcoming and accommodating hosts. Wonderfully warm pot belly fire ensures cosy evenings in the cooler weather - perfect for board games (great range provided) and old fashioned family fun thanks to no tv or dishwasher! Most enjoyable for kids and parents, thank you.
Thanks for staying and leaving the bach so tidy for our cleaners. Much appreciated. We're so glad you enjoyed your stay. Its nice to hear.
Great place for a family holiday
We loved our stay in this cool retro-style bach.
It's a compact but well designed house with clever features like a covered deck. 2nd loo outdoor shower which makes it easier to accommodate many guests.
We had 9 people over Easter and we enjoyed the place. Room for all, well equipped kitchen and indoor and outdoor toys. The fire works really well and theres lots of dry firewood.
It's close to the beach and Waihi has some great walks and good swimming.
We recommend it!
Thanks so much for your lovely review and also for coping so well with the 'mishaps' over your time there. We enjoy sharing our bach with people who appreciate it so much like yourselves.
Excellent set up with plenty of room to accomodate the family
Loved the funky retro furniture and enjoyed playing the board games and puzzles. We had everything we needed there and the beach just across the road!
The indoor outdoor living was perfect for relaxing in the evening and enjoying the summer breeze.
It is heart warming to host families/people like yourselves who really enjoy what our place offers and leaves it so nice for the cleaners. We'd love to host again anytime. Cheers.
An incredibly welcoming and comfortable stay
The bach comfortably accommodates two families and there are so many neat / thoughtful features to make you feel relaxed and at home. The older kids in our group loved sleeping in the beach hut and we all enjoyed the outdoor shower. Excellent selection of magazines and games. Thank you Naomi for sharing your wonderful home !
Thank you for your lovely review. Guests such as yourselves make renting our home out all worthwhile. Thanks too for leaving it so clean. So glad you enjoyed your stay. Naomi
