This nature lover’s retreat sits peacefully high on a hill with a spectacular view of Lake Vernon and the woods around. With a southern exposure and panoramic vista, it’s truly breathtaking in all directions. Located in Muskoka just 15 minutes from Huntsville but a million miles from it all.
A charming 2 storey cottage perfect for mature groups of up to 8 people or 2 families (max 6 adults). Each level has a kitchen, living room, deck, two bedrooms and bathroom. Ceiling fans, gas fireplaces and large windows provide total comfort and a cozy experience. High speed wireless internet and DVD players on both floors allow different age groups to enjoy themselves while at the same cottage.
Lounge around on the deck or soak in the outdoor 6 person hot tub while gazing at the stars.

Take the pathway and stairs down to the lake where you’ll find the 200 sq. ft. dock for docking your boat or jumping in for a refreshing swim. Enjoy the canoes and kayaks with a leisurely paddle or an energetic exploration of the lake. Along the way you'll find your own observation deck with astonishing cliffside views. The observation deck provides you with a secluded spot to sit and relax and gaze at the lake in complete privacy.

At the waterfront, you'll find natural vegetation along the 150 ft of private shoreline and a hard packed sandy/pebble bottom for swimming.

Nice over view of the lake that allows you to capture beautiful pictures to cherish the moments with your friends & family.

Family Vacation

Cottage was spacious which was nice for our family. Trek down to the water needs some work. It is a much longer and more difficult descent then the listing makes it seem. The dock was also partly under water which was disappointing. The condition of the kayaks and life jackets left much to be desired and so we did not use them.

Emplacement parfait et hôte réactif mais propreté laissant à désirer et manque de produits de première nécessité (5 serviettes pour 8, pas de lessive ni de gel douche, peu de produits lave vaisselle). À éviter si vous êtes allergique aux moisissures.

Not Worth your money! Not clean, not functional!

Unfortunately despite the property’s amazing location, the cottage is not well prepared for guests. Overall it was not that clean, closets were disorganized and filled with broken hangers, worn out blankets and old bed covers. The towels were shoved under the sink and were mostly ripped (I washed them all before using). The outdoor furniture and equipment at the dock (including the dock itself) are broken (one of the guests almost lost a toe when their foot got stuck between the two parts of the dock). The Jacuzzi smelled and the water never went up 93 Fahrenheit. The BBQ was so dirty we spent time cleaning inside and outside of it before using the grill. I spare you many other missed details, just imagine an old neglected cottage and you’ll get the gist of it. I tried to resolve the situation with the owner, but unfortunately no discount for the poor quality of the residence was offered and in response to my criticism of them misrepresenting the property they said they would retaliate with a “review” of me. Overall, definitely not worth the rate (which goes pretty steep after fees & taxes) we spent on this property. Take your money somewhere else.

Great stay

Lots of rooms, 2 kitchens, nice place, gorgeous view. It's a lot of steps to get to the water, but it's worth it. It's not quite modern, but it's a decent place. Nice hot tub, maybe a bit too much chlorine. No AC. Water tasted great, there's a washer and dryer, and it's a charming place.
