Peaceful and close to beaches and town
Really good location, and beautiful views. This place was very tranquil and relaxing. Just a little too expensive for only one bedroom. We did appreciate a 11am check out however.
Stunning views in a simple kiwi style bach
We had the most relaxing 2 nights stay while on our first overseas holiday with our 4month old baby. The views out to the water are absolutely stunning and the flora and fauna surrounding the Bach make for an unforgettable, relaxing kiwi holiday. Only minutes drive away from the best surfing spots (we don’t surf but enjoy the water) and a few extra minutes to the town centre.
A simple 1 bedroom bach with all the amenities on hand in the kitchen to cook dinner plus a bbq outside, the entrance was spacious enough to plonk our luggage down plus our own portable cot for the baby.
Highly recommend this spot, we will be staying here again when we come back.
Beautiful, peaceful location, but a few areas for improvement
Really enjoyed our quick long weekend stay at this back in Raglan, surrounded by native bush and wildlife. Not too far from town or the beach.
Overall the stay was good, but there were a few things that could be improved for next time. The first was communication with the host, which was the least reliable of anywhere we stayed so far. A few messages went unanswered, nothing that caused major disruption but still not great hospitality. Second was the cleanliness, which was mostly fine but you could tell whoever cleaned the place didn’t sweep it for cobwebs, and the dining table was very sticky. Also no soap or shampoo in the bach, so be prepared to bring your own. Lastly, other guest have written this but for being charged a linen fee, the linen was pretty worn.
Overall the positives outweighed the negatives, especially the location and the view, and we would consider staying again. Raglan is an amazing slice of Aotearoa!
Place needs a good clean, huge outdoor maintainance, too expensive for what it is
A beaut part of raglan history
Bed is starting to get a little tired
But what a spot!!
