Lodge, 3 Bedrooms, 1 Bathrooms, (Sleeps 6)
Hi I'm Natalie and my husband's name is Brett. My parents owned the property and still currently live across the road on the hill. You will hear and see Dad most days working on their farm - they have farmed in Tapora since 1976, they started milking cows but now run beef. We bought the property and a couple of acres in 2013 with the idea it could be a holiday home for us and also provide an opportunity for others to visit the area. We currently live in Pt Chevalier, but we do go to the Lodge regularly because there is always plenty to do. Mainly by Brett :) And we do enjoy relaxing there.
Natalie purchased this Lodge in 2013
Why Natalie chose Tapora
Because the opportunity presented itself and it was too good to miss. Being able to have a rural retreat, handy to my parents and only 90 minutes from our home has been wonderful. Brett has a keen interest in design interior and exterior and he has relished being able to create a welcoming and relaxed space for ourselves, our whanau and friends
What makes this Lodge unique
Beautiful peaceful rural spot only 90 minutes from Auckland. I suppose I take it all a bit for granted, being a country girl and all, but many of our visitors have said they love being right in the midst of a rural area and feeling that they are getting away from it all
Max guests: 6 (sleeps up to 6 adults)

Loved location, beds comfortable. Quiet and peaceful. Did not like having to travel dirt roads which were not mentioned anywhere.
Nicely isolated luxury!
Loved our stay (again)... Just right for our famy of four. The house is supremely kitted out with everything you could need... And despite its 'isolation ' (which is a good thing) it's loose to awesome beach and forest locations. Just lovely!
It was a pleasure having your family stay, and being such good guests. And thanks for going to the trouble of returning the towel.
My family and I had the pleasure of renting this beautiful farm house with all the necessities in place, from kitchen utensils to a go kart for the children. We found it to be our peaceful place to kick back relax in front of the fire. With peaceful restful nights and exploring the beaches and senery during the day. Overall a great experience and we would definitely come back in the future.
We loved having this family stay. They left the place spotless, and seemed to make the most of their Kaipara holiday.
Thoroughly recommended as guests
Greay phlace in the country
Fantastic quiet location. Slightly quirky and definately fun interior design. Our son enjoyed discovering how to type on a type writer, we enjoyed a movie and card game. We had a good night sleep. Many thanks for a great stay.
Thank you, you were lovely guests and we would be very happy to have you stay again
Comfort and style in the countryside !
Our family of 4 (kids 17 & 19) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Natalie and Brett's country home. The spacious home has everything for an easy, comfortable stay - well equiped kitchen, comfortable beds, large open area dinning and living room, even a shower AND bath tub !
They've put just the "right" amount of modern while keeping enough country charm so you remember where you are (the large windows & patio doors help too - a number of birds including some wild turkey came by while we were there!)
Communication with Natalie and Brett were easy and, although we didn't have a chance to meet, we did feel very welcome!
We loved having the Fee Whanau stay. Great guests so easy to deal with and left the Lodge in tip top condition. Thoroughly recommended.
