No roads to cross to get to the beach. Just follow the path from the front of the section approximately 100m to enjoy the sand and surf, or forage amongst the drift wood.
Relax on the spacious deck or in the sunroom while the kids play in the large fully fenced yard outside. There's heaps of parking, and room for a boat.
It's only 1km or a 10 min walk to the local shops including supermarket, butchery, wine shop and cafes. A further 15 mins walk north will get you to the Surf club.
When you've had enough of the beach, Waihi Beach offers a good selection of cafes and restaurants including the RSA where the famous roast meals can't be beaten!
North of the Surf Club and an easy half an hour walk is the beautiful deserted Orokawa Bay.
To the south end of Waihi Beach 5-10 minutes by car, is Pio Shores, Bowentown, and the Bowentown Boat Club and ramp.
For those rainy days, we have a selection of DVDs to watch.
For something different, explore the open pit mine at Waihi, or bike the Hauraki Rail Trail through the Karangahake Gorge and hidden treasures of the Waitekauri, there's heaps to do!
