Our stay at 204 Spencer Road, Lake Tarawera
The property lived up to the excellent reviews other visitors have given it. It was immaculately clean and very comfortable. The view over the northern end of the lake is lovely, and there are pleasant lakeside walks nearby. And Jean was very helpful and friendly in responding to our request for information. We highly recommend both Jean and the property.
A break away
A lovely home with beautiful views. It's a pity the neighbour with the ten broken down cars on his section doesn't have a tidy up. Would recommend the Lake Tarawera house to anyone.
Thank you Annette, l have spoken to my neighbours, they are embarrassed and they have apologised. Three of the vehicles have already been removed and I am hoping some more will go too. I love my neighbours, they are a very quiet, respectful family and l know in a real emergency they would know exactly what to do and they can be relied upon to assist me or my Guests. I have been most fortunate to have the same neighbours for 30 years and they are part of my sense of security at Lake Tarawera.
The cottage has lovely views of ghe lake and when we were there it was very peaceful. It was clean, the bed linen was really great, the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. Knives could have been sharper! We thought it was a great place for 2 adults. it felt a bit too snug for 4 adults. Thanks for an enjoyable stay.
Just as described. Lovely view of lake. One bar of cell phone coverage.
Great little property
This cottage has a fantastic position with a lovely view of the lake and is equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The bed was very comfortable and the linens pristine. This was an exceptionally clean house and the cut rose in a vase was a lovely little welcome. The lack of Wifi was a concern and cell phone reception wasn’t great but I would definitely stay here again . However I would recommend security catches for the windows so they could be left open while sleeping as this is a very warm cottage.
A car is necessary.
