Fully self contained accommodation with magnificent native bush and land views. Only a 10 minute drive to the Takaka township and a 10-15 minute drive to many of the beaches of Golden Bay. Rocky Ridge Cottage has the convenience of all of the attractions in the area as well as offering a secluded escape in the country side.

Rocky Ridge Cottage offers privacy like no other. The hosts are located out of sight 60 meters away and there are no close neighbours to interrupt your holiday. Light the fire inside or sit around the fire pit while star gazing.

Enjoy the Outdoor Bath under the stars with amazing views.

Rocky Ridge Cottage is situated on a 2000 acre sheep farm which borders the Rawhiti Cave Bush, Abel Tasman National Park and the Rameka Creek. This farm provides an abundance of native flora, fauna, marble outcrops and stunning 360 degree views. If you plan to venture a sizable distance on the farm, be sure to contact the friendly hosts for where to explore and tips on staying safe on the winding cliff edges.

The start of the Rameka Bike Trail is only 1 km from the cottage via access through the farm. This option will take you to the bottom of the track where you follow the Rameka Creek road to the top of the trail. The Rawhiti Cave track is located just a 2 minute drive or 20 minute walk from Rocky Ridge Cottage.

Ligar Bay and Tata Beach are a 15 minute drive from Rocky Ridge Cottage. Ligar Bay is a perfect spot for young families as the ocean has shallow water and great barbeque areas.

Peaceful relaxed stay

Really lovely bach with extensive views over the area. Very quiet and peaceful. Well equipped with everything you might need. Jean was very helpful in getting settled in.

A heavenly gem.

The rocky ridge cottage is very special. It has a sense of wonder, privacy, views, and is in a perfect location for accessing Golden Bay’s magic. A stellar host and one of the highlights of our holiday. Cheers. We will be back.

Rocky Ridge Cottage

Private, peaceful location with wonderful views and beautifully set out grounds. Close to Pohara and beaches. Cottage is immaculate, clean and comfortable with everything provided and more. Definately recommend it.
