Little Gem in the Hawkes Bay
Lovely little cottage set amongst the trees. Comfortable and Warm with nice views over the countryside and handy to Havelock North. Perfect for what we needed. Hopefully we can return again soon.
excellent host and as descibed cottage
Stylish, comfortable and good location for visiting vineyards
We enjoyed a very relaxing couple of nights in the Top Cottage, the bed was extremely comfortable, Rocky was an excellent host who was really kind and helpful and we enjoyed exploring the area. It was close enough to Napier and ideal for wine tasting in Hawkes Bay. As keen birdwatchers, we also appreciated being able to visit the Peka Peka swamp reserve and watching the Black Swans flying in at dusk.
too many spiders and cobwebs
this is a very cute cottage but needed a clean out. Lasted one hour before finding somewhere else to stay.
This is a most unfair review.
I greeted Nicholette and her family after they arrived to ask her if everything was OK. and tell her to let me know if they wanted anything further.
Their response was enthusiastic
Later that evening they rang to say that their daughter was scared of spiders and hey had seen a cobweb outside and on the veranda so they had found accommodation elsware.
The cottage is always wiped down and meticulasly cleaned between lettings (testament to this are ALL the previous reviews) and has been treated for all bugs.
To say the cottage needed a clean out is simply not true!
Loved staying here, just far enough from town to be perfectly quiet and relaxing, look forward to coming back soon
Great guests and a pleasure to have staying
We had a great stay here and were able to bring our dog.
We had a great stay here and were able to bring our dog. The property has a nice 'country cottage' feel to it, and is located in a beautiful setting. We are going to come back when traveling to Hawke's Bay again.
