About Sandra Cohen and Russell De Luca
Russell and I live just north of Katikati in the Bay of Plenty. Our home in Te Kouma has provided a holiday haven for us and our two girls for well over 20 years. We enjoy being able to share it with others and appreciate the care and respect our guests show for the place.
Sandra Cohen and Russell De Luca purchased this House in 1995

After holidaying in the area with friends for many years this property popped up for sale. We only had to walk in the back door, take in the view and we were signing the contract!

Peacefully rested in Te Kouma
This place has an amazing tranquil feeling with a beautiful view. The house was very well equipped and beds were very comfortable. If you are wanting to be in the hustle of town life this is not for you but if you want a holiday to relax with family and read a good book on a big deck surrounded by silence then look no further. The view really is stunning and walk to the beach is only 5 mins. Mussel barge fishing charters leave from Te Kouma warf which is great for bringing home some fresh snapper. We would definitely recommend this place and would definitely recommend staying here - thanks Sandra for hosting us
We thouroughly enjoyed our stay! The house is clean, well-equipped, it really feels like home. The location is perfect if you wish to visit the main attractions of the Coromandel peninsula, and the view from the living room and the balcony is gorgeous. We enjoyed having breakfast on the balcony with the view of the harbor and the bay below. Sandra and Russel were always very responsive to our questions and very proactive in communicating the necessary information. We hope to be back soon to the Coromandel peninsula and to stay at this very same place! We loved it!
Everything in the rite place .outstanding views
Puriri Road is a quiet settlement with a mix of holiday homes and permanent residents. The area is host to a large population of tui, kereru and many other native birds - they live and feed in the trees and bush close to the house so enjoy them!
Waipapa Bay at the end of Puriri Road is a sheltered, pebbly bay with a small sandy beach. It is located 200m down the road with safe swimming, a pontoon to play on and all-tide anchorage for boats. There are two kayaks available for your use in the lock-up shed at the house and a selection of life-jackets can be found in one of the wardrobes.
Te Kouma Road meanders a further 3km around the coastal margins of the harbour and is easily walked. It will take you past the Sugar Loaf landing and around to Hannafords Wharf where charter boats and a ferry service operate from. Continue around to check out a couple more bays until the road ends…then you can walk back.
Coromandel town is a 10 minute drive away with a selection of restaurants, cafes and local shops. The nearby 309 Road features a number of attractions including the Kauri Grove, Castle Rock and Waiau Waterworks. In Coromandel town you can visit the Stamper Battery, take local walks or visit Driving Creek Railway - a popular attraction for visitors to the area.
