Located 9kms from Coromandel township, our Bach is positioned in a sleepy bay, surrounded by native bush. Wake up in the morning listening to the sound of Tui's and watch the resident quails wandering the quiet street.
Our Bach is spacious, sleeping 8 comfortably with additional beds available if you have a larger group. Cell phone reception and TV coverage is limited creating a peaceful location to truely escape from the bustle of city life. The house is equipped with board games, puzzles, playing cards and books to keep you entertained.
If fishing is what's its about, the Sugarloaf boat ramp is at the bottom of the hill (boat ramp fees apply). The harbour is in close proximity to the mussel farms or head into the Hauraki Gulf. The property provides ample parking for your boat with fish filleting station and wash down hose available. There are also several local fishing charters operating from Te Kouma providing you easy access to some of the best Snapper fishing around.
Just a short 3km drive up the road, you will find the Oyster Company where you can pick up fresh Coromandel green lipped mussels and oysters. Fish and chips also available here - perfect for taking back to the beach to watch the sunset.
Coromandel Town is a scenic 2hr drive from Auckland City or a 2hr boat journey landing into Te Kouma Harbour on the ferry (leaves downtown Auckland). In Coromandel Township you will find a generous selection of cafes and restaurants serving an array of locally inspired dishes here. Other local attractions include the Driving Creek Railway, bush walks, The Waterworks, Coromandel School of Mines and Histroical Museum and more.
