Not the newest busy in the best spot
This is an old original Bach. Built over time and filled with stuff that no longer cuts it in the “city house”
The setting is amazing, so close to the beach you can hear the waves from every room. The beds are comfortable and you have everything you need to relax, including the absence of wifi and cell reception meaning your kids will have to talk to you, brace yourself!
Bygone years and the good old kiwi bach
Thoroughly enjoyed our three nights in this kiwi Bach on the beach at Punikaihi.
No technology. Sounds of the surf. Tranquil. Comfortable home away from home. Great walks. Punikaihi rocks outstanding. Stunning rocks and stones littered along the beach. A good book. What more can you ask for....... fabulous!
Charming Laidback Kiwi Bach
A great location , on the beachfront with the riverwalk not far. Beautiful sunsets over the ocean. Can also go to see glow worms in the cave and pancake rocks close by.
Feels like a step back in time to a slower pace , my grandparents really enjoyed staying here. Nice to see the photos of the history of the place on the walls - built in 1925!
Not much phone reception as was explained in instructions so was nice to take a break away from the city.
Glad you enjoyed it Jo! Happy travels!!
What a special place. Such history. Incredible to have the wild west coast a stones throw from the deck. Thanks to the family for allowing others to share this bach.
Awesome little batch in such an amazing setting
The batch was perfect very cosy and clean, will definitely be back.
Fabulous place for a relaxing break
We had a lovely stay at this bach - being right on the beach was fantastic! Had a power cut the first night so thanks for having lots of candles handy (we went to the pub and found out everyone's power was out and was made very welcome - it was fun sitting in the dark with candles on all the tables!).
We enjoyed the local walks, river, sea, beach, glorious sun - after driving through snow on Porters earlier in the day! Only complaint is the CD player didn't work so we had no sounds.
We will be back and will bring the family next time. Thank you for sharing this gorgeous place :-)
THANKS FOR YOUR COMMENTS. GLAD YOU ENJOYED YOUR STAY!
