Tranquil Easter break
A lovely peaceful spot for that well earned rest. Bach has everything you need and is really comfortable.
Quiet and stunning
The Bach was beautifully set in a private road by the waterfront. It had everything you would need for a comfortable and pleasant stay. The local residents were also a pleasure to deal with. I will definitely be back again.
It was a great spot
Fantasic bach with everything you need for your stay.
We did fishing from the jetty and launched the jet ski (either side of high tide) and fished in the harbor. Getting snapper from both.
Will go back
Amazing place, very tranquil.
An amazing place....We loved every minute of it. Our boys loved the outdoors and being able to go fishing/exploring when they wanted to. Very relaxing!
A sad out of date bach which urgently needs TLC
On our arrival we found a sad out of date dirty place which had looked so promising in the description. Greeted by the owner we were told that we couldn't launch the boat off the beach and the wharf which was described as a fun place to jump off didn't have a ladder to climb back up again. The following day we contacted Julie about the state of the BBQ, oven, and the overall cleanliness of the place. She acted quickly in organising a cleaner and a new BBQ but by that stage our mood had sunk quite low as more and more details of the out of date place came to light. We were thankful that Julie had recognised the absolute necessities of a new BBQ and the need of a cleaner however it made us feel like we were just paying guests and this place was not very well looked after. Also for future guests I would like to point out that it is a long way out of Raglan down a gravel road and on a very muddy inlet. The tide takes a long time to come in and you feel almost trapped especially if you have no means of transport. I do hope Michael and Julie recognise the need of some urgent touch ups so future guest can enjoy this quiet oasis.
Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us. We’re sorry that your expectations weren’t met on this stay.
To clarify your boat, you’re welcome to launch your boat, however we issue a caution to non 4WD vehicles, as the beach front is not a purpose-built boat ramp, it’s easy to get stuck in 2WD vehicles. We take pride in our property, subsequently when you bought it to my attention that the storage compartment door of the BBQ had come loose, I replaced it with a brand-new BBQ.
The photos on the website are recent, taken prior to Christmas.
We have a commercial cleaner clean the property after each guest. I’m sorry that on this occasion there were aspects that weren’t up to your satisfaction.
There are properties offering more facilities with newer buildings, however we find most of our guests love this Kiwi classic for its unprecedented, uninterrupted waterfront which is surrounded by farmland
Being only about 6kms from Raglan township, most are happy to have a coffee and something to eat in town, and relax and take in the offerings of the ‘quiet oasis’
If you’d like to discuss anything further please don’t hesitate to contact me. Kind Regards, Julie.
