Surrender Retreat was built as a bach in 1970 and today sees it returned back to being the quintessential beach bach with grandmas old couch and bunks in the one of the bedrooms. Two sunny decks and a nice private backyard ready and waiting for you to fire up the BBQ.
An ideal Saturday could be a short walk to the local Butcher and Saturday Farmers Market for a BBQ for dinner followed by a stroll to the beach for a swim in the sunset or a trip to Kapiti Island.
Day trips could include a visit to the famous Kapiti Island bird sanctuary where you can see many of our native birds, Southwards Car Museum with a vast collection of cars and motorbikes, Nga Manu bird Sanctuary in Waikanae.
Enjoy a drink on the deck or a sleep in the sun while listening to the birds chip in the garden.
5-10 minute walk from Kapiti Coast Airport so you could leave the car at home and have a relaxing break with everything in walking distance.
1 hours drive to Wellington where you can see Te Papa , Cable Car, Wellington Zoo and much much more.
