Need better directions.

Here are the best directions to get there. From Hwy 14, when you see the Sinclair Gas sign on the corner, go about 1/10 of a mile toward the fire department building. TR on Elk Creek Rd then go 4 miles until it "T"s. TL and go 9/10 of a mile. (The sign at the "T" says Erickson Ridge Rd., Most Maps have it as "American River Rd.") Look left for a cabin near the road that is called "Prospector Cabin". TL in the unmarked driveway 30' before that. Bear right at the "Y", the cabin is 500' in front of you. Very nice newer cabin, Quite as advertised. Good internet and plenty of TV channels if you are stuck inside. A great remote getaway. Lot's of back roads to wander in the National Forest.

Great spot in the "boondocks"

Good newer cabin with lots of space for 6 people. No Cell coverage, and a lightning storm may have been what "knocked-out" their WiFi.......... Directions to the property need TLC: Turn NW at the Sinclair station at the NW end of downtown Elk City, drive about 200 yards and turn North on first road called "Elk Creek Road", Drive 5 miles north on Elk Creek Road and when it T's with Erickson Ridge Road, turn left. Drive north on Erickson Ridge Road (about 300 yards) and you will find the unmarked driveway for #555 on your left. Drive mostly level on this driveway about 200 yards and at its very end, you have arrived. Enjoy like we did.

Great stay!!

We had a great stay!!! Fun and relaxing…lots of hiking and ATV trails nearby and deer outside in the yard. Hot springs resort nearby too. Loved being able to bring our fur babies too!

Very clean rental in a beautiful remote area

My husband and friends stayed here to look at a property in Elk City. If you are looking for a beautiful REMOTE area to visit this is a great place to stay. There is no cell service in the area while traveling but there is Wi-FI at the property - just be prepared ahead of time while traveling. If you like the outdoors there is probably not much better of a place to be remote and surrounded by beauty.

Labor Day Hiking

The cabin was beautiful and well appointed. The only challenge was the check in process and finding the cabin. There is NO cell phone coverage for a hundred miles and our GPS led us close - but not directly to - the property. There were two other cabins nearby and the owner just told us to walk in (a scary idea if you aren’t sure you are at the right place and it’s late at night). I strongly recommend that the owners post the address number on the front of the cabin, so guests can confirm they have found the right place. And, as others have noted, provide accurate written directions to the property in the check in information.
