Eclectic Retreat
Our host Maya was just lovely. The living quarters were quite spacious (the bathroom is tiny) and we had a nice back porch that looked out into the woods, great for reading. Maya set up the sauna for me one evening and it was wonderful. The location is very close to Sears Island and Moose Point State park for hiking and swimming, and Belfast, with it's restaurants, was just a short drive.

We had a great time in Maine
We had a great time. Mayya was a terrific host. There were issues with the bath tub before we checked in, Mayya was gracious enough to give us one of her paintings because of it. It's a lovely painting. Overall the place was beautiful and very comfortable. Thank you Mayya ❤️

Best VRBO, great views and customer service
Welcomed by owners with warm fire and instructions upon arrival. Owners house on property but always respectful of our safety and privacy. All our needs were met and thoroughly enjoyed the sauna. We stayed at several VRBOs but this was the best by far. Would recommend to anyone. Will not disappoint.

Exactly as described
The house was as described in the listing. Very peaceful, clean. What the listing did not state was how great Maya and her husband are! Great people, made sure we had what we needed, etc. Lived staying there.

About the host

I was a physician for 25 years. My husband Ross and I love the Maine area and people. Favorite things to do is canoeing and catching fish!

Why they chose this property

The privacy and beautiful wooded grounds attracted us to place that feels like we are in the country with birds singing, chipmunks, occasional white tail deer spotted, yet so close to town!

We live on the property but will you rarely see us!

What makes this property unique

We have a secluded property with 7+ acres of wooded area for enjoying along easily walkable paths with seating areas. Also there is a Finnish wood fired sauna and hot tub available for use for a small fee. We provide fresh towels, prepare the sauna fire, and sanitize before and after each use. Also there is a screened in "Sugar Shack" overlooking the wooded area. We are next to a 170 acre Propert Memorial Forest, a protected forest refuge.
