About this property
Private warm winter escape-Walk to cafes, attractions and the lake
If you are a family or a group of friends looking for an escape, Edna's has been set up for you.
A renovated mid century inspired retreat designed for relaxation and comfort.
When its time to dine and explore a three block walk delivers you to the main st of Daylesford.
The original 1950s home of much loved locals Edna and Jack Grant and their five boys for 60 years. Toast them from your private deck whilst enjoying the town vistas and the wonderful 1500 sq metres of mature garden they planted.
The space
Come together at the dining table surrounded by original restored Casala chairs. Perhaps coffee and breakfast outdoors with resident magpies Marion and Morrissey and enjoy the sweeping views of Daylesford.
In winter, sit in the warmth of the northerly sun spilling though the sliding doors. Venture to the backyard fire pit to enjoy the warmth and Daylesford view.
Sprawl out in the lounge with included Netflix, Max and Kayo Sports on the 4 seater couch.(Included NBN Wifi along with 4G backup) Enjoy the views from the two armchairs. Turn on the planet lamp and browse one of the 200 plus books or games. Pick up the house rackets and balls and play on Daylesford's renown grass tennis courts 200 metres away
( Oct to May, jus $25 a court per hour )
The kitchen comes with all mod cons such as dishwasher, induction cooktop, electric oven, microwave, under bench washing machine. Complimentary ground coffee, tea, sugar, milk etc for the coffee machine station for fellow caffeine lovers.
The three main bedrooms consist of all new beds. (Two queens and one king. )
Sleep in freshly laundered pure cotton or linen. All rooms have generous hanging space and storage.
New split systems heat and cool the bedrooms and living spaces. (Below the television, behind a wooden grill, is a highly effective gas heater.)
The study/fourth bedroom, comes with a built in desk which enjoys a view to Wombat Hill and a new single bed. This can expand into two side by side singles for an eighth guest.
