Spent the weekend there with wife and adult kids. We were blown away at the spectacular views of the north channel not to mention the pool, hot tub and surroundings. Staff was amazing and always there to ensure we had everything we needed.

Barbara’s Place was an absolute gem! Conveniently located just 15 minutes from the Ferry and a quick 20-minute drive to almost anywhere on the island, it’s the perfect central spot for exploring. A major highlight is its proximity to the Cup and Saucer Trail, which is a must-do and offers incredible views. The property itself sits on the peak of a bay, and the sunset views are simply breathtaking—definitely a highlight of our stay. We were impressed by how well-equipped the place was, with some thoughtful basics provided, plus extra firewood to enjoy the outdoor fire pit. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, adding a personal touch to our experience. The added bonus of a pool and hot tub, along with direct lake access, made for the perfect relaxation spots after a day of adventure. All in all, it was a peaceful, scenic, and comfortable retreat—I can’t recommend it enough!

The host cancelled on me the day before we were supposed to be there, leaving my family without any accommodations for our trip. I can’t give an adequate rating on cleanliness or the property as we didn’t get to go; but I have to note that the address used in the booking doesn’t show up on maps, with no clarification from the host. Be aware of this before booking!
