About this property
Big Leo’s River View Cabin
Located in Cape North in Northern Cape Breton on a side road off of the world famous Cabot Trail. Enjoy land that borders the Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Our unserviced cabin boasts a river view and guarantees you a private and peaceful stay while surrounded by nature. Cook on our Napoleon BBQ, relax in the hammock, swim in the river or have a picnic while looking at the stars.
To get to the cabin you park on the side of the road and follow the walking path for about 6 minutes.
Our cabin is 169 square feet, unserviced and with a river view. It has a queen bed (with linens), end tables and a Bluetti Power Bank (for charging phones, the lamp and small appliances). On the deck we have a Napoleon BBQ and a small table & chairs. We have two picnic tables outside the cabin as well as a fire pit (Solo Stove) which can only be used when fire restrictions allow it.
By the river we have a hammock. You can also swim in the river, the swimming hole is just to the right of the cabin.
For a toilet we have a portable from Island Vacuum that has to stay close to the road for frequent cleanings. In light of transparency I want to make sure you know it’s about a 6-7 minute walk to the toilet from the cabin. We are only about 10 minute drive from a comfort station where you can shower, wash your clothes ect if you need that.
We have solar lights set up throughout the property.
If you have extra people there is room in the cabin for an air mattress or a pack & play.
We are minutes away from beautiful beaches and the Cape Breton Highlands National Park.
We want you to enjoy the cabin, relax and unwind. I truly believe this is one of the most peaceful places in the world and I hope you find peace in it too!
