Your host is a native of Jamaica, trained in architecture in Europe, and has worked in several countries. She now splits her quasi-retirement time between Montego Bay and Washington DC. Tropical Studio is her second vacation rental property in the Freeport.
Why they chose this property
Convenient location in the Freeport for work or vacation stays. Taxis available for close by shopping, banking, restaurants services. Ready access to Residents beach in walking distance; and the city beaches of Harmony Park and Doctor's Cave by taxi. Quiet property to unwind at end of a day of work or tours. Relax with multiple sports and entertainment cable channels. Eat in or out at good nearby restaurants.
What makes this property unique
Our apartment complex sits on the Montego Freeport peninsula, served by a single road down the middle, with waterfront properties on three sides. The area locates two resorts, premium apartment and townhouse complexes, and the Montego Bay Yacht Club (next door Seawind) with its bayside Marina Palm restaurant. Another area restaurant on the strip, is the Boat House at a 5-min taxi ride away.
The former Hard Rock Café beach is now operated as a residents' beach, with free access for our guests. The beach is a 5-mins walk away. Guests wanting a full-service beach can taxi to the public Harmony Park Beach or the fee-entry Doctor's Cave across the bay. The beaches boasts bar and food services. Doctor's Cave has a Starbucks.
Banks, supermarkets, pharmacies and a petrol filling station are located in the nearby Fairview shopping Center. Banks offer 24-hr ATM points - Some offer dual Jamaican dollar and US dollar cash..
