Perfect In Every Way
The apartment was just as described but even better. Situated in the center of Brides Le Bains it couldn’t have been better positioned. The Spar supermarket which stocked an amazing variety of very reasonably priced goods was literally below the apartment so you just popped downstairs for your supplies! The gondola to Meribel was a short walk up a steepish hill for a twenty five minute ride up the beautiful valley, very relaxing way to start and end your day. One tip I would give is to store your skis and boots in Meribel, it costs about 10 euros per day but is well worth it. The village of Brides is lovely, very old worldly and French, quiet but with enough bars, restaurants and shops to satisfy most people looking for a relaxed ski vacation. The Thermes Spa is well worth a visit.
Now for the real reason for the review, the apartment. It is very modern with a large kitchen/ living area, the kitchen is very well equipped with modern cooker, oven, microwave, dishwasher and a washing machine which was very useful for our 2 week stay. There is plenty of crockery and cutlery and great wine glasses!
The bathroom is very modern with two wash basins and a fantastic shower. There is also a separate toilet. The bedroom is plenty big enough and the bed is very comfortable, and there is plenty of storage space.
The apartment windows look out onto the Main Street so you are able to watch the comings and goings of the locals and skiers. It seems I have run out of space! Book it👌😴
