About this property

Delfina, which means dolphin, is a wonderful home with a pool being added in Dec 2023 for 6 guests located in the central part of Galveston. If you have a 7th guest, this person may sleep on the large sofa in the den. The home is located right behind the convention center and Kroger. 3 blocks from the beach so it is an easy walk to the Seawall. To the east of the home, you are about 3 blocks from 61st St where you find all types of food and shopping. Moody Gardens and Schlitterbahn are located about 3 miles from the home. The Pleasure Pier is about 5 miles from the home.

A NEW POOL
A pool was added and completed in Feb 2024. It is all ready for your enjoyment. The backyard around the pool is all decking for sitting in the shade or the sun. Grill out and enjoy the family or friends. The owners will not be held responsible for any accidents or injuries in the pool area or in the pool itself. Alarms will be on the 2 back doors for security and alerts for the pool area, this is required for the city. If these are turned off or damaged by a guest, guests are then responsible for the other guests or others allowed on the property.

The home was purchased in 2020 by a couple that lives in Minnesota and spends 5 months, from Nov to April, a year in Galveston. The home is a large 2 bedroom, 2 bath home with lots of room for the whole family to spread out and enjoy their time in Galveston. The master bedroom is large with a king-size bed and a large master bathroom that has a walk-in shower and TV with cable. The 2nd bedroom offers a queen-size bed. In the living room, we offer a very comfortable sleeper sofa and seating for guests to also watch TV. The den offers a TV with cable. In the dining room, we offer a counter-height table for the family with a view of the living room TV. Here the family can enjoy meals or games. In the back yard, you will find more outdoor seating in a privately fenced backyard. There is a propane grill for your grilling pleasure. Located in the large garage the owners have added a fun area for their guests a game table for 6 guests. Off of the den, you will find a large laundry room for your use.

The owners try to supply everything you may need in the home, except for personal items. They supply all bed linens, bath towels, washcloths, and hand towels. Body washes are offered in the bathrooms. In the kitchen, you will find everything you will need to prepare all of your meals. There are 3 TVs in the home.

For parking, you will find a nice circular driveway in the front for about 2 to 3 cars. Space in front of the driveway for a couple of cars and in the driveway you can park 2 to 3 cars as well. You are welcome to use the inside of the garage for a couple of cars.

A refundable deposit of $250. This is a hold placed on your credit card and it is

During hurricane season, we cannot offer a full refund unless there is a category 1 or higher hurricane headed to Galveston.

We do not allow events, such as reunions or parties. No more than 10 guests may be at the home, and that includes the 6 guests staying overnight.

We do not allow Prom or Graduation gatherings of any kind.

You must be 25 years of age to rent our home.

We do not accept cash or cashiers checks at any time for rent

Highly Recommend!

This house is extremally cozy. We had everything that you could need in order to accommodate a small family or group. My wife and I absolutely loved this place it was perfect for a beach vacation / get away. The property manager is very on top of communication and helpful. We would defiantly return.

Nice Experience

It good that it’s close to the beach, we can just walk. The surrounding street and location is very calm and good. It’s good for a family stay. No mat on the bathrooms, towels are old, kitchen appliances are old, master bath doors are not impressive. We other than that overall it is okay to stay.

Would definitely recommend

Positives: It was about 2 blocks from the beach so and easy walk and MUCH quieter than the last place we rented on the Seawall Blvd. Close to Kroger grocery store and other shopping. Beds were comfortable and just overall a nice place to stay. Negatives: The A/C in the master bedroom was not great. I read the reviews about the A/C so I brought 2 pedestal with me and that helped. That being said even with an outside temp of about 100 it was comfortable enough. It was fairly clean although the outside could have used a cleaning (leaf blower on the front & back porches). There was hairs in the master bathroom sink, the shower glass doors probably should have been cleaned off better and the sponge in the kitchen should just be replaced in between bookings. I sat on the back patio a lot and at night you cannot turn off one of the lights (at least that I found) and that was a little annoying. Overall very few complaints. As the title says we would definitely stay here again.

Entry Not Accessible & Needed Cleaning

Yard was not mowed with stickers around entry. Back yard needed attention (leaves from the fall were still accumulated around exterior of house and yard). Kitchen drawers had food spills on inside lips, drip tray on refrigerator was filthy, carpets had not been completely vacuumed, and stains were dispersed throughout the house. There was baseboard and door trim rot was in most of the rooms. Behind the toilets in the bathrooms were not cleaned. If I was the owner, and had not been made aware of these issues, I would be very upset. If the owner has been notified of these issues, they should see that at least the cleaning aspects are addressed. The repairs should be looked into as soon as financially possible. With the number of TV’s in the house, it would have been nice to have remotes for each. On a positive note, the beds were very comfortable and the supply of linens was adequate.

Great Location on the Island

We were visiting Galveston for a competition at the Convention Center. The location could NOT have been more convenient. The house is spacious and was very clean. The beds were all comfortable and plenty of room for extra sleeping on two couches. We would definately stay there again.
