What a magical little house!

We loved our stay at the Hobbit House. It's a charming little house in a great neighborhood, a five minute drive from downtown Columbia. Communicating with the owner was great, and the house had everything we needed.

Charming home in great location!

My friends and I loved staying in this house for a long weekend in Columbia! It was the perfect size for a small group of friends and the host had excellent communication in the lead up and throughout our stay. Would definitely recommend!

Great location near the University of Missouri

We were here for Mizzou graduation. The home is very close to campus and the downtown area. It was nicely furnished and looked very cute decorated for Christmas. We really enjoyed our stay!

We enjoyed staying in this iconic house when we were in town for Mareck Dance’s fall show. Such a cute place! The owner was super responsive and we had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

LOVED IT!

Wonderful little, big home. Very clean, the beds are so comfortable and the pillows smell great (I always bring my own, but here it wasn't necessary) Lovely garden. The home is equipped with all of the necessaries. Very close to shopping, restaurants and the University. Love old homes very much loved this one.

Family visit for granddaughters 1st birthday. 5 adults slept comfortably. Very clean and very quiet. Thought there might be a lot of street noise, but were pleased how quiet it was at night. Comfortable beds. Convenient location. Enjoyed our stay very much.

Graduation Getaway

What a wonderful place for our family to gather as we were celebrating the graduation of our niece! The garden is beautiful and the house is so charming- every little detail! We felt right at home immediately. Everything we needed was right there! We want to go back!!!

Lovely visit to favorite house

I have always loved this little cottage and was thrilled to be able to stay there when we returned to CoMo after moving away 2 yrs ago. Many of my local friends stopped by for a tour. It is a unique property with many features expected of an older historic home (creaky floors and short doorways). Not a place for small children or people with a problem with steps up or down into the various rooms. Good location to get everywhere in town and only mild road noise from Ash and West. I was originally worried about the parking space but had no problems backing out onto Ash.

Loved the Fairy House!

This is such an amazing property! We enjoyed reading about the history of this house in the materials that were in the living room. There were so many things we enjoyed from the comfy living room furniture to the long table for games to the patio seating area outside. Thank you for sharing this house with everyone!

Historical Home

In a great location. Clean and comfortable. However if you are tall may be a concern. A historical home that has very low ceilings and has step-downs to several of the rooms. Very rustic feeling.

Clean and charming place with responsive host

The place is cute and charming. Just as described. Very clean - which I’m sure is no easy task in a historical home. We had everything we needed. Jessie was attentive and took care of everything. As happens to everyone, a major appliance was struggling, but Jessie’s actions were quick, appropriate, and gracious. Even the gardener, who stopped by to mow, was so polite and asked if it would disturb us if he worked while we were there. Couldn’t have asked for anything more.

Amazing Cottage Stay

The most comfortable, unique property. Great location. Truly felt like a quiet oasis near downtown. The indoor space (and fully stocked kitchen) was spot on. And the outdoor space was beautiful. The owner was proactive in all communications, and even sent us a note during our stay to make sure everything was perfect. The pictures don't do it justice. Stay here if you can! We'll be back.

What a beautiful property! Spectacular attention to every detail. Comfy, cozy and clean. Beautiful garden was the perfect place to enjoy a beverage. The host was extremely accommodating and pleasant to work with. Close to downtown, a mall and grocery store, yet felt like living in the country. Planning future visits.

-Large sunroom boasts 10 foot farmhouse table for meals, games, and more! You will enjoy the multitude of live plants in this room, as well as the provided family games.

-Living room features hearth and cookware original to the home.

-Modern amenities such as wifi on-site, two smart TVs include netflix available

-Washer + Dryer available for guest usage

Parking is available for up to 2 vehicles. Please message host for arrangements for additional vehicles.
