Tres agréable

Merci pour ce séjour fantastique. Les enfants ont apprécié la piscine et le sauna était très relaxant. C'était une maison très confortable avec tout le confort. Tout ce qu'il fallait était là.

Quiet hideaway

Fabulous facilities and plenty of space. Owner very helpful on arrival . Much better value than town or city centre properties. Travelled to watch rugby at Lille (45 mins easy drive) beautiful town of St Omer nearby . No shops within walking distance but boulangerie and small supermarket 5 mins drive .

Tale of two half.

So our stay was a mixture of good and bad. Sylvain is a friendly man, who when messaged was very quick to respond. During our stay there was an issue with the toilet in the house, which after being contacted Sylvain sorted promptly. However I will say that when booking the house it was not made clear that we needed to bring our own bedding and towels. Luckily I messaged Sylvain before our stay and found this out. I would like to point out that the listing makes it appear that there are 2 bathrooms in the house, however this isn’t correct. 1 of the bathrooms is with the swimming pool, which is in a different building. The swimming pool on the other is a great feature that we made great use of. The house itself is more rustic than appeared from the photos, a surprise on arrival. Further to this the house seems to be lived in when not rented out. By this I mean there are private bedrooms within and items of food and toiletries left in draws/cupboards. Also there was no hand soap or hand towels provided, something I find very strange with COVID being a recent thing. My only other issue with the property was that there numerous piles of dog/cat poo over the grass and around the children’s play equipment, something I find disgusting. I would ask that Sylvain makes an effort in the future that this is cleaned up for other guests. One final thought is that some money needs to be put into the house to make it more up to date and sort cosmetic things. The location is very beautiful.
