We bought this getaway as our 'escape' from the city life in Dallas. We envisioned it as a retreat for our beautiful blended family. It NEVER was in our plans to rent out this property. However, as people visited, they fell in love with the uniqueness of the cabin/setting and wanted to experience it.

We have fallen in love with the outcome of our decision to rent it out as we have made so many new friends from our beloved guests!

Why they chose this property

You will see when you crest that hill and see the log cabin and it's breathtaking setting, then you will understand the 'why'!

This was our 'escape' from the city life in Dallas. Our heart rate lowers as we get closer to the cabin - and away from the city. Our guests have said the same. It's a wholesome, old fashioned fun experience out here.

This getaway is SO good for overly busy families or couples or friends to chill and reconnect. Most of the kids who have stayed here don't want to leave and can't wait to come back - probably because they can be outside all day exploring and the discoveries never end!

We raise chickens and invite our guests to bring the kids up to collect eggs, take walks on the quiet country roads, walk the 20 natural acres the cabin is on, fish the two stocked ponds, play horse shoes, stare at the stars from the firepit, watch the deer crisscrossing the property, collect unusual stones and crystals, play basketball on the half court.

Inside play shuffleboard, darts, jenga and cornhole or visit the game collection! All that is right here - you don't have to leave the property for good old fashioned, reconnecting fun!
