We very much enjoyed our stay at this vacation rental. Overall the condo shows wear and tear, but owners were thoughtful in furnishing it, making the stay enjoyable despite a few minor setbacks.
Things to know:
- There is a parallel-to-river wooden dock that stretches up and down the river. It's has a ladder for water access. Many people used this as a kind of sidewalk to walk along the river
- There is no outdoor privacy. The outdoor spaces, besides the patio directly outside of the rental, felt more like shared space
- You will hear your neighbors.
- The kitchen is well outfitted for meals for two! They even provide things that some rentals miss (wine and can opener)
- Bring your own k cups
- No dishwasher (soap, scrubber, rack provided)
- Icemaker in the freezer worked great
Things I'm glad we brought.
- our own pillows
- slippers
- beach towels
- board games/deck of cards
Things I wish I'd brought:
- canoe/kayak
- fishing gear (we saw many people fish but didn't see anyone catch anything)
- picnic blanket to be out near the water, but not directly on dock.
Points of Improvement
- Communication was lacking from the owner. They said they would send the check in details the day before check in, but I had to ask for them the day of.
- The couch is not comfortable, would NOT be comfortable to sleep on.
-Some of the towels had a bad mildew smell, including the washcloth provided in the kitchen with the dishrack
