Quiet and nestled up above 2000’ elevation, Tucked Inn at Big Canoe is a perfect getaway for a couple, or a small family. Newly renovated, this cozy 1 bedroom 1 bath studio apartment located in the private resort-like community offers a queen-sized bed and a queen-sized sofa sleeper. Private self entry with keyless code access.

The kitchen is stocked with all the tools you will need for preparing meals indoors and offers an eat in bar for two. For outdoor cooking, enjoy the Blackstone griddle located on your private deck with outdoor seating for four. Dining at Big Canoe Clubhouse/ Restaurant is always a delicious option.

Big Canoe offers 8000 pristine acres of beautiful meadows, mountains, streams, and waterfalls and is filled with wildlife (deer, squirrel, chipmunks, wild turkey, a variety of birds, fish and black bear!). Venture out into the well-maintained and marked hiking trails, waterfalls, 4x4 driving trail, designated play areas for kids and 5 lakes. The Marina at Lake Petit offers pontoon, Jon boat, kayak, and paddle board rentals. As well, the 100+ acre Lake Petit is stocked with rainbow trout, bluegill, bass, crappie, and brim (with fishing gear available for rent). You can pay as you play at many of the amenities including fishing, boating, swimming, a rockslide, 8 outdoor and 2 indoor tennis courts, 3 championship golf courses, pickleball, bocce, fitness center, 2 outdoor swimming pools and an indoor pool. Weekly church services are held at the Big Canoe Chapel.

Completely relax outside the studio amongst the thick layer of hardwood trees and along the streams running through the property; at night, the sound will lull you to sleep!

About Big Canoe: A current driver’s license will be required to enter. No motorcycles or ATVs are allowed. Hunting and outdoor fires are strictly prohibited.

About Tucked Inn: We have no pet, no parties, and no smoking policies.
Upon your arrival, we will provide a listing of all amenities within Big Canoe and a guide of things to do outside of Big Canoe as well. Feel free to visit www.bigcanoepoa.org for more information.

To help you enjoy your stay, we have also provided walking sticks, binoculars, a bug box, Enos, picnic basket and supplies, beach towels and toys, and board games for your use. Wifi and Netflix are available for your pleasure.

Stairs are required to enter the property. Covered parking is available for one vehicle only. Host is onsite. Exterior cameras are at driveway.

High Altitude

It was a very peaceful getaway from the city. I think we are a little out of shape to fully enjoy the studio and the areas points of interest. With proper preparation this area and Tucked Inn would be a wonderful place for a young couple to enjoy fully. The ride from the property gate to the top of the location of the property is very beautiful yet harrowing to those that are getting perhaps a little too old to drive as well as they used to. We saw a black bear and several dear as well as lots of blooming native flora. The host seemed kind and did not invade our privacy at all. I hope that others that visit will be able to enjoy and appreciate nature and the opportunity to stay in someone else’s cozy cabin at a very reasonable cost. I’m glad we were allowed to spend a few days there.

Great place

Everything was great. The studio is connected to the larger part of the house so we shared the driveway. The driveway is a bit small for multiple cars but everything else was perfect.

Tammy is a gracious hostess. The property is well located in a beautiful area, quiet and secluded. The accommodation was elegant and provided everything a guest might need. I would recommend Tucked In.

Birthday Surprise

Brought my husband here for a surprise birthday week. He loved the quietness and comfortable accommodations. The drive to the actual property from the maingate is extremely hilly/mountainous. Beutiful view and convenient shopping just 30 minutes away.

Pleasant stay

Needed a safe place for elderly parents while here visiting, this lovely apartment was perfect for our needs. I took a star off for location, only that it is quite far inside the community and a good distance from amenities and gates. Otherwise, perfect.

Originally from New Orleans, so being tucked inn to a mountain resort is amazing! The peace and quiet here is something I have never truly experienced before.

Why they chose this property

Big Canoe is unique - it's like being in a state park, with resort amenities - and no crowds! Enjoy the curvy roads, the wildlife, and the abundance of nature's beauty at your door front. The "quiet" seclusion is amazing - but in minutes you can be golfing, playing tennis/pickle ball, dining at the clubhouse. It is truly the best of all of it!

What makes this property unique

Tucked Inn is in the back of Big Canoe - so when we say quiet, we mean it. Being able to unplug and have down time is what is about here. While you are just minutes away from all that big canoe's amenities and Jasper and the surrounding community's activities (and they are FUN) - you actually breathe differently here in the seclusion that Tucked Inn provides.
