The house was very clean and comfortable. Direct access to Lycoming Creek if you are fishing. We had rainy weather the entire weekend but made the best of it. If you arrive at night it is very dark and secluded. Would recommend for a small family getaway
My husband and I went to go to the LLWS. Made it to the park 3 days. If we weren’t at the games my husband was fishing in the creek. Caught quite a few trout. The cottage was very comfortable and cozy as well as rustic. The woodworking was beautiful. It definitely stay again
When I chose a vrbo listing,I was expecting a good quality product. We had a vrbo listing for about 5 years that we maintained ourselves. So I have a good idea how much work is in olved. First of all Allyssa you should have called me to let me know about the flooding in the area. All I receved for a notice was an email that was not accessible,as the code would change as I was putting it in.A coincidence? I doubt it. Even a direct text to my phone which Allyssa had already done would have given us a heads up to replan. Then we arrive and the first thing that greets us as we open the door is a musty moldy smell from the food that had occured 5 days prir..The wS obviously not even cleaned proprly. All the bedding was dirty. Bedding that was supposed to be used was thrown into piles into basket and onto furniture and even on the floor. Threre was left over food in the fride, the dishware was completely disorganized and the windows all had cobwebs and most cracked glass. The listing says that it can sleep 6 but 2 would have to be on the floor.I had my 2 granddaughters take the king bed up.The pullout bed that my wife and I were on is attached to a lounge which makes it impossible to get out of without crawling over the lounge. The water had a terrible smell to it. It needs to be treated. The tv blasted us awake 2 mornings. I am completely dissatified with the property for our stay of 4 days.I feel we were duped into our reservation for a ecently flooded property.
Nends by inches. tIe
The property is in a nice secluded area. The place was clean, quiet, up to date. Would have loved to stay longer. I would stay at this property again. Had a little delay receiving the access code via email but figured it out instead.
Lovely house on the Lycoming Creek. We enjoyed Labor Day Weekend, with several extended family events in Williamsport. A welcome getaway, less than 20 min, with a Wegmans in between for any food we needed. It rained every day, so we relaxed on the ample screened in porch. Well stocked kitchen, good sized bathroom, delightful decor. The volleyball net looked really inviting for nicer weather, next time!
We had a great stay at the cabin. Perfect for visiting friends and family in the Williamsport area. We swam and played in the creek. Enjoyed the firepit and outdoor shower. The place was clean, quiet and well stocked. Would definitely stay here again!
This property was just wonderful! Allison has it beautifully decorated and filled with many useful things (kitchen has baking appliances and the upstairs bedroom has an AC unit, which was definitely needed this hot weekend!). There’s no microwave, which we didn’t mind, but plan accordingly. The stairs to the bedroom are a little steep, just for anyone with mobility issues. The screened-in porch was fabulous in the morning and the creek was refreshing to wade-in midday. The bathroom is spa-like. So nice to feel like we were in the middle of nowhere but with a Wegman’s less than 15 min away. We will definitely be back—thank you!
House was nicely renovated and very
private… about 100 yards down a gravel road from main road and back of house was on nice creek.. …..convenient ( 10-15 minutes ) to Williamsport
Unique cottage, very clean, lots of linens, utensils. Woodwork and cabinetry characteristic of famous Lewis lumber Co. Beautiful hardwoods throughout the house. Nice comfy screened porch, creek view, outdoor picnic table, fire pit. A/C in upstairs bedroom is also a traffic white noise. Steep drop to creek edge - slippery when wet. Kayaks on property for guest use. Entry road off main road is difficult to spot, but GPS will take you right to the property. Road is gravel. Need creek shoes to wade. Moderate current in stream , swim with caution, especially smaller children. Visited late Sept., 2021
Relaxing vacation. Easy location to get to restaurants, stores and local breweries. Enjoyed using the screened in porch. It is on a bumpy dirt road so need to be careful driving.
House was nice. Only 1 bathroom which is difficult for more than a couple staying there.
House is quaint and neatly decorated. The screen porch on the side of the house was nice.
The stream access is a sloped entry which can be slick to get to the water.
The road to the house is a dirt toad, navigable, just be prepared.
We enjoyed our stay.
Nice location, but property was not what was described in the listing
We were disappointed to find that many of the amenities promised were not delivered, but the location on the river was nice and quiet. The hot tub water was a dark brown/green color even though we reached out in advance and requested for it to be ready when we arrived. The outdoor areas were uncleaned and covered with cobwebs and pollen. Although we exchanged messages with the owner about the kayaks well before our trip, the owner asked that I send her screenshots of where in the listing they were promised, the kayaks were not delivered until half-way through the second day of our stay. Firewood was promised, and there was two logs. Paper goods were promised, but there was only one roll of TP. One of these issues in isolation is a mistake, but we experienced so many that it appeared to be a pattern.
Allison’s cabin was just what we needed to get away and unwind :)
We had a wonderful time at this little slice of heaven! Cabin was ready for us earlier than expected. Everything we could have possibly needed was on site. Close enough to town to easily get groceries or go out to eat. The soaking tub was AMAZING (make sure to let her know you’d like to use it and she’ll have it all set up upon check in). Hit that book it button, you will be glad you did :)
