We've stayed at Honua Kai in the past - not in this particular unit. This property was very clean and there were plenty of dishes, utensils, etc. We had a problem with the tv so I emailed the property management company at 4:50 pm, not expecting to hear from them until the next morning. Someone got back to me almost immediately and walked me through a rebooting process. Very impressive. The unit is at the front of the property, so no ocean/pool views, but the mountain view is beautiful, so not a deal-breaker for us. We would book this unit in the future. Also, guests were very observant of the mask requirements while inside the lobby area or in the check-in area of Duke's Bar/Restaurant, so that was good to see (we were there mid-January). Pool staff was very friendly and attentive.
