The house is not far from Skælskør, a 700 year old merchant town where old half-timbered houses and beautiful backyards make every walk through the town an experience. There are several manor houses in the area, such as Borreby, Holsteinborg and Espe, where H.C.Andersen stayed in his time. 30 km from here are the towns of Korsør, Slagelse and Næstved - each with an older town center and newer architecture. / km southwest of Skælskør is Stigsnæs, from where ferries sail to the islands of Agersø and Omø. The Birkegårdens Haver are also worth a visit. This is a 10,000 m ² adventure park with animals and a play park. On the Kragerup Gods there are also many activities. You can feel the wind in the treetops, play soccer or go canoeing.
