Wonderful Beach House
The home was perfect and spacious for our two families! Access to the shared private beach is very close with nearly no stairs. The quality of and proximity to the beach is undersold in this listing! Amazing! Thank you

Nice, but costly with additional fees
The home is lovely. It’s spacious, clean and has a lot of activities. The steam shower and tub in the master bathroom were fantastic. It was literally steps away from the beach, which was very convenient. I liked that there was no outlet to the little neighborhood this house was located in, so there was no thru traffic. There’s sand toys for kids and chairs you can take, along with beach towels. There’s plenty of movies, board games and puzzles. There’s a high chair and pack n’play. The kitchen has every baking/cooking utensil/item you can think of. We really enjoyed our stay, but there was some things we didn’t like about the house. When we booked, it was a lot less for 3 nights, but then there was a random fee called “additional charges”. Then there was an administrative fee, service fee, and outrageous cleaning fee. So, it’s not really how much is advertised per night. I wish those were just bundled up in the nightly costs. We were upset about the cleaning fee because for the checkout procedure we had to be out by 10am (in my opinion, that’s early…at least give until 11:00) all garbage taken out to the curb, towels gathered, dishes done, and beds stripped. I don’t mind the towels, but if I’m paying that much for a cleaning fee, we should not be stripping the beds and taking out the garbage. They also only gave us 3 garbage bags, 1 paper towel roll and 3 dishwasher tabs for 3 1/2 days.

Great Family House
We loved the property and location. The walk to the beach was easy. From the upstairs sitting area you could see the lake through the trees, We had 4 couples and 6 children under 5 and never felt cramped. There was plenty of space in the home. Each family had their own room and the layout of the house gave each family their space. There is a living room on the 1st floor, and other in the basement, a large sitting area outside of the master bedroom, and the bunk room was large (it is over the garage). There is only one TV and it was in the basement, we loved this. The kids could watch TV and those of us who wanted to sit and talk did not have to try to talk over a TV. The kitchen was very well setup. It had every appliance and cook utensil you could possibly want. Cooking in this house was never a problem. We also really liked the bonus room off of the kitchen. Nice sitting area and great for the very small kids. There is a ping pong table in the garage and plenty of beach chairs, floats, toys, etc There was plenty of parking for 4 vehicles, could have fit 6 easy. The areas of improvement: The porch off of the master bedroom needs the flooring upgraded and it would be nice if there was furniture on the porch. Couple of exterior spots need some repair (exterior door off of Master bath porch, some of the deck boards are rotting away) Not an improvement, just note, there is only one outside sitting area. Spoke to the owner and management group a couple of times, they were GREAT to work with. Very accommodating and friendly.

Family Reunion
Family came from OH, IL, Australia for a week's reunion. The property is comfortable with multiple living/lounging areas and sleeping separation which was helpful with teens and littles. Kitchen was stocked as if it were yours, we didn't miss a thing in meal prep. Beach is quick walk. We were even able to walk to Big Red which we were told hasn't happened in a few years because of water levels. Lovely place.

About the host

Hi- We are Josh & Chloe (and our baby William). Chloe is originally from the Holland, MI area and grew up always being on the lake. Josh grew up in IL and moved to Holland for College where he fell in love with being on the water. One of his summer college jobs was a paddle board instructor and he even got into competitive paddle board racing (who knew that was a thing). We currently live in Colorado and wanted to have a home to be able to share our love of Holland, the beach & water with friends and family. We hope this becomes a place for you and your family/friends to make some amazing Holland memories too!

Why they chose this property

When we saw this home come on the market, we knew it was meant to be. We have loved this neighborhood for the longest time, as the trees & access to the beach make it stunning. The people in Holland are some of the kindest and we couldn't wait to put some roots down in a place we love so much.
