Very nice place to stay
This was just what we were expecting. We didnt need a big space but wanted the flexibility of private lodging. We did have neighbors. I don’t think they understood that it was a 2 unit but everything was perfect.

Wonderful place, quite neighborhood!
This was a great stay! Our hosts were quickly responsive and helpful. The loudest noise in the neighborhood was the birds waking up. Spacious rooms and plenty of space, thank you for maintaining a great place for us to visit.

It’s always something
We stayed 5 days/nights, and each day brought a new issue. My wife tried to telework (phone calls, video meetings, etc). Night #1 our sleep was interrupted by a train horn that sounded continuously from about 1:00-4:00 a.m. Apparently it was malfunctioning. The apartment is about 1/2 mile from a switch yard. Normally train noise was not an issue. Day #1 my wife’s calls and meetings were periodically interrupted by a gas powered saw outside. The owners were constructing a new circle driveway, and the crew was cutting rebar. Per the owner’s request we moved our car across the street while they poured the concrete. We weren’t advised there would be construction. Day #2 the crew was back with a gas powered saw to make cuts in the concrete. Fortunately they weren’t there long, but it was impossible for my wife to work during that time. Day #3 the cleaning lady came to work in the adjoining unit. She played music and talked loudly on the phone, making work difficult. Night #4 new neighbors waited until 11:30 p.m. to do laundry. The noise from the shared laundry room sounded as if it were next to our bed. The construction was unexpected and marred our experience. Hopefully that is a one time thing.

About the host

Hosted by Sammy & Grace

Host profile image
we are a frontline / Veteran family that loves to spend some of our free time renovating homes. We take great pride transforming undesirable houses and turning them into homes that guests will enjoy. A great deal of inspiration comes from each member of the family. My wife (Grace) brings the creative interior design/furnishings, I like to think I bring the vision of what the home should look like from a structural standpoint, our son (Elijah) likes to offer his input on what and how many TVs each home should have and our girl (Elizabeth) likes to ensure we have reliable, high quality internet in order for guests to enjoy Baby Shark on Youtube.

Why they chose this property

Mainly due to its central location with easy access to Highway 65, quick trip to downtown and a little longer quick trip to Beltline, where majority of the shops, restaurants, mall are located. Even more, the opportunity to watch live intramural softball games right across the street.

What makes this property unique

Location. Size of the home. Its ability to one day add a third dwelling towards the rear of the home, on the concrete pad.
