Maui Kamaole #D-102 is a 1 bedroom, 2 bath unit on the ground floor in a quiet location. It has split system air conditioning in both the living room and bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, two TVs, and free WIFI. There is a king bed and new (2023) queen sofa bed. The en suite bathroom features a walk-in shower. For outdoor activities, Maui Kamaole #D-102 is supplied with beach chairs, beach towels, 2 small and 1 large patios/lanai with an outdoor dining area. There is also a large, semi-private outdoor lawn area attached to the lanai. Sleeps 4.

Kamaole Beach #3 is just across from the upscale Maui Kamaole. This property features lush tropical landscaping, two gorgeous pool areas with hot tubs and water features. The Kamaole Beaches are world famous for their pristine water, long sandy shoreline, and great snorkeling. In addition during the winter, the humpback whales are just off shore and put on a great show. You will also enjoy the most magnificent sunsets imaginable. You also are within walking distance to activities, shops and restaurants and a short drive to the championship golf courses of Wailea and Makena.
** Important Notice: The laundry dryer vent in this unit will be serviced on Wednesday, June 19, 2024. Access will be required for about 20 minutes between 8:30 am - 2:00 pm on that day. A Maui Kamaole staff member will accompany dryer vent technicians into the unit. **

Beautiful property

Great location with plenty of space for family

Overall, the condo was good with plenty of room for family to spread out and relax. Loved that we were close to the beach and eateries without being too close to crowds. Just not enough shampoo, bodywash and conditioner for 4 people. Also there wasn't dish soap to wash dishes for small stuff as we thought it would be wasteful to use to wash utensils to eat with meals every day. There were a few small bugs but understandable as this is an island.

Would give 5 but...

Pros: Location. Just across the beach. Accessible to all the food (Kihei Rd) and shopping (Wailea) and very beautifully maintained complex. Lawns are cut and msintenance people are constantly on the rounds in the morning. Amenities: having the washing machine was the biggest help as we were at the beach everyday. Dishwasher and also the beach chairs and the umbrella was a definite +... (1 out of the 3 chairs broken though but no biggie) Cons: Caught 6 cockroaches on the first 3 hours from when we checked-in and probably around 2-3/ day for the 7 days we stayed. They had a scheduled pest control done during our stay (outside the unit). Generally love this place if not only for the minor inconvenience of the "intruders"

Nice updated unit with nice amenities there are BUGS though

This was the fourth trip to Kihei that we have taken and the first as a family of four. This unit was bright and updated compared to other units at Maui Kam. No carpet which was great and the AC units are new and SILENT! The kitchen is made to cook in which we did the majority of our stay. Everything you need to bake (except a muffin tin, didn’t see one of those) as well as cook. Lots of Tupperware as well for food storage. However, this was the first trip we have ever experienced BUGS in large quantities which really marred our trip. We would spend the morning killing anywhere from 3-7 small little ones to medium size roaches. They would be in the silverware container, dish sponge, on the edge of the dishwasher. It was pretty bad because we had pizza one night and they came and were eating the pizza while we still had it out for dinner. However, there are other things that were helpful in this unit. Appreciate how decked out the amenities were as well. A full bucket of sand toys, two full face snorkels and about 4 adult sets of fins and snorkels with beach chairs and 3 umbrellas, made the beach days easy as pie. The linens were clean and mattresses comfortable. If you are looking to be close to the beach or have an ocean view this is not the unit for you. It is just a little bit too far to walk comfortably with young kids to the heart of Kihei without a stroller compared to day Kihei Kai Nani. All of that is why we gave it a 3 of 5 stars!
