GREAT lake getaway!
We live near the mountains outside of Asheville, NC. A couple times a year, we head to a lake for a weekend of rest and relaxation. This gem of a property on Lake Greenwood was just the ticket. Set on a quiet cove, it was the perfect spot to chill out, relax, and enjoy the water. Our pup loved lots of swimming time.
The property was clean (inside and out) with wonderful lake frontage. A lovely back porch with ceiling fans, it was hot, made for some great cocktail hours each evening. We enjoyed the beach area by the water. Having the umbrella stand was a great bonus, we brought a beach umbrella but there was one there as well.
The property was nicely equipped with everything you need for a fabulous getaway. Be mindful that the grill and outdoor seating area is not covered. We grilled out each night and luckily, we didn’t have rain while we were grilling.
Some small things I would improve.
1.Please consider adding some long benches (or similar) in the master bedroom under the TV to hold suitcases.
2.The steps from the porch to the lawn are VERY slippery, please consider adding some treading – like the treads on the stairs going into the water.
3.Covering the grill and outdoor seating area would be ideal!
All and all, this was one of our favorite lake properties we’ve ever stayed at. We are looking forward to visiting again in the future.
