The outside space and pool were great and very definitely the best feature, especially as it was so warm. However the bedrooms were quite fusty and the bedding smelt as if it was stale. A lot of the furniture was in need of repair or restoration. Communication was not easy and my query about whether towels were included was not answered! I was not first of the party to arrive but the person who met us asked whether we had made arrangements for cleaning. I noted that cleaning was included and so I was not sure what was meant by the French lady who was looking after the place for the owner. I did speak to the owner by phone but when I mentioned that cleaning was included I could not understand fully the answer but I thought she said that was for cleaning the linen! Finally, the lack of good instructions and directions made it very difficult to find the place - we eventually found it after a lot of stress and there were no real instructions for the house and no security in the way of keys to lock the house.
