Not exactly as it seems
The apartment is much smaller than it appears. The decor was slightly different from the pictures but it did the job. The neighborhood is definitely not what I expected but thankfully I'm from Brooklyn so I wasn't too scared. Our check in had a slight hiccup because the code I was given didn't work, but I called the property manager and they changed it to let me in right away. Oh that reminds me, there's a woman listed as the manager but I only ever heard from a man who said he was her friend....Anyway, my family and I stayed for 6 days and the apartment was in the center of the city. Everything we did was no more than 35 or 45 minutes away-in fact I ended up going to 2 parties while visiting and they were both walking distance from the place! The heat was an issue because it wasn't as warm as I'd hoped in April so the manager sent me directions on how to use their fancy thermostat. Same for connecting to the 1 tiny little TV in the living room; but once we were connected everything was fine. The kitchen was clean but not equipped with a full set of pots or dishes so we were only able to really make breakfast since that required the least. There is also a loud freight train that goes by at all hours of the night so beware if you're a light sleeper. All in all it wasn't the most lavish place to stay but the cost, convenience of a parking spot, and the proximity to the parties I went to made it a decent place to stay.
