Practically furnished apartment on the first floor of an apartment complex in the seaside resort of Ostend, one of the most famous seaside resorts in Belgium. With this accommodation it is obvious to start the morning with a refreshing swim in the sea. Parking on the street for a fee. Nearby you can rent bicycles. Nearby restaurants and stores are within easy walking distance. Crib and high chair for rent on site.
Despite the small population, the port city of Ostend is very lively and full of entertainment, it is located only 35 kilometers from the Dutch border. It is a good idea to visit the Kursaal after a nice day at the beach, where you will find entertainment, variety and excitement in the concert hall, restaurant and great casino. There are excellent shopping opportunities in Ostend, such as in the famous Chapel Street. Some cultural treasures, including the open-air museum Atlantikwall, the museum ship Amandine, the church of St. Peter and Paul, Fort Napoleon and the former, royal summer residence are definitely worth a visit. With your children you can go to the cinema or visit an indoor playground.
During your stay you can also visit the nearby towns of Bredene, De Haan and De Panne. In Ostend you will enjoy a varied vacation and this apartment offers an excellent base for this. This apartment is also ideal if you are looking for accommodation near the popular Afro Caribbean Festival, which is held annually in August in Bredene, not far from Ostend.

Een verblijf in Oostende in een appartement van HomeAway

Er was niemand om mij te helpen lopen van nummer 158 tot 166 toen ik de sleutel had gekregen en drie pakketten lakens en handdoeken moest dragen samen met mijn koffer en tas. Ik kreeg de deur heel moeilijk open want niemand had mij gezegd dat ik de sleutel schuin moest houden en niet recht. Ik kon de tv niet werken en moest twee dagen wachten totdat heel toevallig de eigenares in de omgeving was en iemand stuurde om de tv te laten werken. Er was wel een wasmachine aanwezig maar geen waslijn of wasrek op de was op te hangen. De verwarming viel steeds uit en de eigenares is drie keer binnen gekomen om te te kijken waarom. Verder was het lekker stil en prettig om daar te logeren en vlakbij het strand en zee. Op de boulevard was het prettig om te wandelen langs de zee of fietsen op het fietspad dat kilometers lang was. Er was een boerenbakker vlakbij waar je zeer smakelijk brood kon kopen vanaf 7 uur s'morgens behalve op maandag. Je kon geen buitenlandse dagblad kopen behalve in het centrum van Oostende. Langs de boulevard kon je op een bank zitten om de paar meter en er waren overal prullenbakken op straat. De kusttram was niet ver weg en de haltes dichtbij.
