La Cuchin has been inspired by the old houses in the Country Side of PR.
Special touches throughout the Cabin make your stay more special.
We are nestle among the mountains of the El Yunque Rainforest. At night you will hear the sounds of the Coqui and crickets and if you are lucky the rain over the Tin Roof.
Our Outdoor Garden Tub is a place where you will leave all of your worries behind.
La Cuchin is part of Casa Las Palmas. Casa Las Palmas is composed of La Bohemia, La Moderna and La Cuchin. La Cuchin seats in the rear of the property and only Guests staying in La Cuchin have access to their space. We live on the 2nd floor of the main house and are available to you if you need us. During your stay we give you your privacy so you can enjoy your stay.

A true hidden gem!

We loved our stay at La Cuchin, it quickly stole my heart. The yard is incredibly beautiful and very private. The house itself has everything you need for your stay. We've stayed in many tiny homes but this one was our favorite. Great location and a great respite.

Best stay of our trip

The decor was great and the amenities provided were very thought full. Maria was very help full and friendly and pleasant to talk with. The only thing that we would recommend would be a microwave for the kitchen. We had a great stay!

Great getaway

This is our first trip to Puerto Rico and there was a lot to see and do. The house provided the perfect place to prepare for our adventures and to rest and plan the next day’s activities.

This place is AMAZING!!!

It is the most welcoming, private little house! There are touches there that you just don’t find! Beach chairs and an umbrella to use. Beach towels, she even has sunblock!! There was a bowl of mangos left for us on the porch after I had asked about the tree out front. Just really super nice people! We don’t know how to summarize everything that was good because of just how amazing it is! Truly worth the stay and then some!!!!

El Yunque Rainforest National Park is one of the most visited area in Puerto Rico. Here you can enjoy the peace and quiet the Country Side of the Island has to offer. The Tiny House has been designed and stocked with everything you need to enjoy your vacation. Beach Chairs, Yoga Mats and other essentials are at your disposition when you stay with us. It is hard to believe we are only 1.5 miles from the main hwy, yet you can feel like you are away from everything!

What makes this property unique

We built La Cuchin ourselves! Although Tiny, inside you will find all the commodities you need to have a great stay! Located only 7 minutes from the main Hwy, yet away from everything. Enjoy a nice Bubble Bath on your Outdoor Garden Tub surrounded by the sounds of Mother Nature. This Tiny House sits in the back of our Property and it is separated from the main house by a fence and a gate that only you will have access to. We also live on property, but give you the privacy you need for your vacation. At night, the main Gate to the Property is closed but additional protection but you still can come in and out.
